Nordstrom

Chronically understaffed in the shoe department. I had to stand in line for 10 minutes to get someone to bring me a pair of shoes to try on. The counter was an absolute mess. And this happens all the time. Nordstrom you can do better.

Have had no issues picking up online orders for safe keeping or returning them if it didn’t work out. Everyone is quick and very willing to assist. It might not always be packed here but the benefit is that the staff and store become a lot more pleasant when you need to be in store. Thanks everyone!

Shopping and having a great cafe where you can have a glass of wine in one store is what this Nordstrom has for its shoppers. The cafe is located upstairs so you would not know the cafe was there and do not expect a large crowd for some good food. Then after your meal you can go back to shopping and enjoying all the anniversary sales which is a great savings. The anniversary sales will be marked with a yellow sign

I wish Nordstrom SF was still open. Despite being born in SMC, I can tell you, no one actually wants to be in SMC. How much is a plot of land in Glen Park? ah no empty parcels. Forestland? Loves it.

Unfortunately my experience with the fragrance team was less than ideal. Asked for a specific perfume and 3 sales ladies could not help. Each one kept pushing me off to the next. All three were adamant what I was looking for was not sold as a set. I walked over to Macys and was able to purchase the set I was looking for. Terrible customer service, unknowable sales team, unwelcoming and unfriendly. I expected better from Nordstrom.

Nordstrom is one of the great American department stores and it still is but the pandemic has left it a bit worse for wear with a bit of display disarray and staffing issues. I blame this on the pandemic and not on Nordstrom. The curating is well done although the men’s department seems to have more mid-priced brands than the women’s department. The housewares department is great - I wish it were larger - and the kids department is decent. As with all department stores. The cosmetics department is probably too big and the shoes are just right. Parking is easy

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. On December 11, 2023, the people who worked there as security tackled someone to the ground, outside of the "Nordstrom" store - even though this was in the indoor mall area. I’ve noticed that there have been at least 3 people - and probably more people - who have been harassed by kops and security guards around Hillsdale mall. If any racial profiling happens, a safe(r) person to look for might be William debruce - he is a brown skinned pasifik islander person and is probably more likely to de-escalate a situation (instead of tackling someone to the ground).
