Food was amazing. Juicy steak cooked to perfection. The house wines and cocktails were also perfect and wonderfully crafted. The inside of the restaurant is themed in a way that you just feel the vibes and atmosphere caress you while enjoying your meal. Just an amazing experience and definitely something I’d recommend to anyone. Bar staff was also splendid to talk to!
We did not have steak so take this with a grain of salt. The service was super slow. The 100 layer lasagna was a real treat. It was absolutely delicious and melted in our mouths. A meat sauce on top versus marinara would have made it even better. The bronzed walleye pieces were basically fried walleye cheek nuggets that were very tender and tasty but needed a pinch of salt. The Brussels sprouts were sweet, savory and a bit spicy. Yummy. A word of caution regarding the 6oz bacon wrapped filet. While we did not order it, the two gentlemen sitting next to us did and both were quite disappointed. It was tiny and unsatisfying. It looked like a puck in a hockey rink sitting on that big plate with nothing else. Overall, I’d say Morrie’s is worth a try as long as you are not in a hurry.
Very disappointed with my experience at Morries! I reserved the specific day and time days in advance for my husband’s birthday. After being seated and waiting a while our server came over took our drinks and then waited awhile again before we were brought our drinks. Once we placed our order she stated she’d be back with bread and butter and never came back ended up asking one of the busser girls that was cleaning tables if we could get our bread and butter. My margarita tasted so strong of alcohol that I could barely drink it, service was super poor, price to portion ratio is very poor and I expect when ordering a $40 steak meal to receive it cooked according to request and for it to be flavorful and juicy! My steak was dry as could be I have had better steak at Texas Roadhouse. We were in the building for 2 hours which I feel is ridiculous considering we had a reservation, we ordered almost immediately after drinks were brought over and our reservation was 7:45 which is later to. Also after telling my server it was my husbands birthday not only was that ignored but then I requested a dessert menu and ordered his dessert! I’m very frustrated over this experience because my husband expressed on his birthday after really wanting to come here that he wished we went somewhere else! Probably won’t be coming back anytime soon if ever from this experience
Even on a unexpected busy prom night we we able to find seating in the lounge. The staff members are courteous and professional. The food is nothing short of phenomenal. The steak is always cooked to perfection. You can not go wrong with a traditional baked potato, tonight I tried the risotto and it did not disappoint. Most places skimp out on the steak portions, not Morries. The cheesecake is a very nice light cheesecake, some of the best I have had. I will always choose to come here when I am in Sioux Falls. Thank you for a wonderful dinner.
I took a friend to Morries Steakhouse for his birthday dinner. We were greeted by 3 staff and they introduced our server Shirlley We were seated promptly and asked if we wanted anything to drink and we both got coffee. Our server gave us our menu and we were asked of there were anything special we were celebrating and said it was his birthday and she was delighted to be our server. We chose the NY STRIP steak and I had mushrooms and onions and roasted root vegetables he had garlic mashed potatoes. The wait wasn't to long and the room was nice, low lit and the chairs were leather and the table setting was eloquent. While we waited we got our coffee and a small loaf of bread with a small bowl of butter. They brought out our dinner and we found that it was cooked to perfection to our favorite level of doneness. It was just perfect for his birthday I even tipped the cook for the job well done
A great celebration with friends! Food, beverages, ambiance and service were all fantastic! We even tackled a couple of Tomahawks! Great night!
My mom and step dad took me here. Absolutely amazing! We sat in the bar area in a booth, very cool atmosphere, high end steak house but a bit more casual in the bar. The food was absolutely amazing! I had the Wagyu top sirloin with Au Poivre and Spicy Gochujang Brussels Sprouts. We shared the loaded hashbrowns. Finished dinner with amazing Irish coffee and all three shared the turtle cheesecake and Nana’s Carrot Cake. All was absolutely amazing!! Our server was tentative, informative, and helpful.
