Great place to shop and look at everything related to the American Dream. Guns, fishing, boating, camping, sports and equipment, archery, golf, and all the clothing needed for everything! High quality clothes! A little on the expensive side when it comes to home furnishings and art. Dog friendly! I love bringing my dog here. There is even a nice dinner spot and candy shop. The Ferris wheel is fun to ride as well!

I’ve been shopping here with friends and family ever since I was a kid. Plenty of great memories made here even if we didn’t purchase anything. They have the gear it takes to enjoy all of my passions and the employees are always super helpful.

This review is specifically for the incredibly knowledgeable young man working in the shoe department of the Sioux Falls store on the afternoon of Dec. 21. He dropped wild amounts of knowledge about all the shoe options and how they would work with certain foot/ankle issues, was attentive to customers, straightforward and honest. We ended up buying online because they were out of my size in store, but wanted to give shoe dude a shout out. Wish I would have gotten his name to give a proper one. It’s rare these days to meet someone doing customer service so well - he deserves a raise and/or a promotion!

Had outstanding service from a young man in the men’s shoe department today. First name was Isaac and his last name was Long and hyphenated so I’m sorry I can’t be specific but I bet the store manager will be able to figure that out. Isaac was friendly, competent, and knowledgeable. Thank you for the great experience, Isaac!

We came to just hang out and explore. Kids were very excited about the ferris wheel. The young man working it was so kind. The only problem was while looking for shoes, not one associate greeted us or asked us if we needed any assistance. Found shoes on my own and got a few water toys, goggles, and a quiet ball for the kids. Other Scheels we visited were much more friendly.

I had a great experience with Scheels customer service. My local Scheels didn’t have my size in the coat I wanted, so I called the Sioux Falls Scheels and was helped right away. They arranged to ship the coat the very next day, which I truly appreciated. When the package showed as delivered to a "box" but never arrived at my mailbox, I contacted Sioux Falls Scheels and spoke with Jennifer C. She immediately took ownership of the situation and went above and beyond to resolve it. Jennifer contacted another Scheels location and was able to have a replacement coat shipped out right away. Her customer service was exceptional—professional, kind, and efficient. Jennifer C. is truly an asset to the Scheels team. Thank you, Jennifer, for turning a stressful situation into a positive experience.

Updated Review I originally had a very disappointing experience ordering dog boots online for home delivery. I ordered two sizes since I wasn’t sure what would fit, and both pairs arrived with dog hair stuck to the Velcro and inside the packaging. While I understand customers may try items in-store, the returned products clearly hadn’t been inspected or cleaned before being shipped back out. Since the two items came from different locations (St. Cloud, MN and Sioux Falls, SD), it was clear this wasn’t an isolated oversight. I’m updating my review because Josiah, the store manager in Sioux Falls, reached out to me directly after seeing my feedback and handled the situation exceptionally well. He took ownership, apologized, and resolved the issue quickly and professionally. His follow‑through—and the fact that the St. Cloud manager also reached out—showed that Scheels’ customer service is solid and consistent across locations. Although my online order experience was frustrating, the way Josiah addressed the issue demonstrated a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction.
