A great place to spend the day or night. We are local so we have a pass and come often for camping and day use. There is a large even area and great area for riding bikes. Watch out for banana slugs. There is warm water to wash your hands, flush toilets and showers you can use coins to pay for. We stayed for 2 nights during the rain and it was wonderful we even had the sun come out the 2nd day.

Great campground, with family sites nestled in the San Mateo County redwoods. Some have fire rings, some have BBQs. Clean restrooms, showers. Def recommend.

A little gem tucked away from the crowded Bay Area. A bit of a drive. Redwoods are always majestic. Pescadero creek is nicely tucked in and looks beautiful here too. A lot of trails and a lot of them are social trails. Many benches to take a seat and enjoy nature. There is the tallest tree, not super impressive but noticeable. Day use and overnight camping areas have all the facilities you would expect. Looks a little underfunded, it's a county park after all. Please support your local parks!

Such an amazing family campground! Every time we go, we find new fun paths to explore. Bathrooms are clean and modern, some campsite areas also have outdoor sinks for dishes at the bathrooms — some don’t, but still have accessible water spigots for rinsing and filling up. Love love love our annual trips here.

The campground is huge with lots of campsites and easy access to bathrooms with coin operated showers. There were plenty of bathrooms nearby (more than what is shown in Google Maps) and it seemed most if not all had a shower. The water temperature was adjustable and the pressure and flow rate was enough for a decent shower. The facilities look new and were well maintained. A great place to visit for a weekend escape into the wilderness.

Great campground, campsites, and amenities. I took my two kids (7 and 8) there for the first time in our pop-up trailer. The park is beautiful! Majestic redwood trees, cool creek, paths and trails for hiking and biking around. We were able to get a site with plenty of room for our trailer with lots of extra space to play, set up chairs around the fire ring, etc. There were two picnic tables in great condition and a huge animal-proof storage locker (though I did not see any indication of hungry critters that were waiting to get our food- raccoons, squirrels, and skunks have been an issue at other campgrounds we've visited in N. CA). We spent a full day just exploring the park with a lot of time checking out the fish, crawdads, and banana slugs in and near the creek. On day two, we left the park and headed to one of the cool beaches only twenty minutes away near Pescadero for the day. The following day, my kids just wanted to hike around the park and spend more time in the creek. Fun and relaxing all around. We were there during the week, but I saw posters advertising great weekend events for the kids, and I will try to schedule future trips to encompass a weekend. Lastly, the staff were amazing!! Incredibly friendly and helpful. A pin for our trailer broke, and the rangers searched their shop and quickly found us a replacement, which saved our trip! This was the first of what I am sure will be MANY trips in the years to come.

Beautiful redwoods experience. It's like visiting John Muir park but smaller and simpler. The trees are stunning, cool, and tranquil. The creek is charming and great for skipping stones. There are tons of places to have a picnic. Kids will love running around and exploring. Adults will love a quiet stroll through the woods. And the drive to get there is beautiful, either coming from Pescadero and the coast, or over the hills from the bay.
