Surfer Beach Hotel

The Surfer Beach Hotel is truly an amazing place to stay. The location is absolutely beautiful , right on the beach , but what really made our experience exceptional was the staff. Hunter was wonderful over the phone while booking our reservation and made the process so easy and pleasant. Angel was incredible during check-in , personable, welcoming, and genuinely so kind. We couldn’t have asked for better people to start our stay. Highly recommend this hotel for both the views and the outstanding service. We can’t wait to come back!

Such a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean from my bed. I could hear the waves crashing while I slept. I also enjoyed swimming in the heated pool. If you want a terrific location with a great view and you especially appreciate that every staff member seems happy to make your stay enjoyable, then I suggest you stay at the Surfer. Enjoy excellent food at the World Famous downstairs. I forgot to mention the hotel was very clean.

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful stay at the Surfer Beach Hotel in San Diego. You truly can’t beat the location, right on the beach with stunning views and easy walking distance to everything you could want. There are plenty of great bars and restaurants nearby, along with a grocery store, convenience stores, bike rentals, and even an amusement park close by. We loved being able to walk or bike everywhere.||The staff made our stay even better. Aiden, Elijah, Hunter and Ali at the front desk were absolutely fabulous, friendly, helpful, and welcoming from start to finish. They really went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience.||We can’t wait to come back and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a perfect beach getaway in San Diego!

Absolutely loved my weekend at the surfer beach hotel! Coming from midwest Michigan, this experience felt other worldly! We ended up arriving early and the staff were so friendly, understanding, and accommodating from the beginning! We ended up with an upgrade to the sunset suite and I cannot get past how breathtaking the view was! The room was so spacious and had all the amenities you could want. & the deck? I’m so blessed so have had this experience! The boardwalk is not just a fun place to walk, swim, & get some AMAZING food, but it’s so heartwarming getting to people watch and see everyone enjoying the beach and the sunset! I can’t stop raving about this place and experience! My first time in California was unforgettable thanks to the surfer beach hotel and the amazing staff!

been staying at this location... since 1990s. its never dissapointed, and even more so... it feels even better to go, for both nostalgia AND the service. rooms are great, location on beach, best it can get. close to food, freeways, all the fun of the most beautiful city on earth. highly reccomended, esp for people who havent EVER been to san diego. you get a real taste, for what the city is.

The staff was absolutely fantastic. They even called us to let us know our room was ready prior to our check in time. The room was a bit small but was stll nice and the place was clean. We will definitely be returning.
