City Sweats - Wallingford

I can’t recommend City Sweats enough! My boyfriend and I have been members for over two years, and it’s become such an essential part of our wellness routine. The staff are so kind, thoughtful, and attentive — they always go above and beyond (like pre-prepping my cabin with my favorite aroma mist). They’re also consistently accommodating and understanding, which makes every visit such a great experience. City Sweats offers multiple cabin sizes, and all of them get really hot (upwards of 168°F out of the 175°F max). They used to have a large sauna that didn’t heat up quite as much (as another reviewer mentioned), but it’s been replaced — and the new large cabin seems to get even hotter than the smaller ones! Each session lasts 45 minutes, which I’ve found to be the perfect amount of time. They also offer treatments like a lymphatic drainage machine, red light therapy, and a cold plunge + sauna contrast option — all of which I love to rotate between depending on my mood. The relaxation room, alkaline water station, and wellness shots make each visit even better. City Sweats has truly become an essential part of my self-care routine — I always leave feeling refreshed, relaxed, and reset.

I had a restful and restorative time here, thanks to CJ and their guidance! They helped me feel so comfortable and at ease, explained things clearly so I could make the most of my time with the sauna and red light therapy. Special kudos to the delicious cold tea and the relaxation room with cool sand to wiggle your toes in! Would love to see a bigger towel option provided to accommodate more diverse bodies.

City Sweats in Wallingford has been an absolute game-changer for me. The staff is always so sweet, polite, and friendly. They make you feel genuinely welcome every single time. Also, you get a tonic shot when you first come in. Everything is always prepared and ready, and the space is spotlessly clean with such a calm, positive vibe. I have the unlimited sauna membership, and it truly feels like a luxury treat every time I go. After my sauna session, I love unwinding in the relaxation lounge. They always offer me an orange and a cup of tea, which makes the whole experience feel extra thoughtful and special. On top of that, the sauna itself has been incredible for me, especially with my neck issues. It’s made such a noticeable difference. Every visit leaves me feeling relaxed, refreshed, and cared for. I honestly can’t recommend City Sweats enough!

City Sweats is a cozy and clean oasis of wellness and relaxation, and the staff is genuinely welcoming. I very much look forward to starting off my day in the warmth and glow of their saunas and red light during the chilly and grey winters, and you should too!

I went here with a friend of mine and it was probably the BEST experience I’ve had since I moved to Seattle 4 years ago. The ambiance is so peaceful and the temperature of the sauna was perfect for a good sweat. We had to remove our shoes before entering the sauna cabin area which made me feel comfortable and that they kept the place clean. Before you enter, you can choose to purchase a "shot" of a juice, which carries various health benefits. I opted for the one with cayenne, which guarantees a detoxifying sweat. They also offer refreshing 9.5pH water at anytime during your session, and after a good sweat, you can shower in the private shower area. There’s also a recovery area in the back with candles and sand on the floor and beautiful art on the walls you can gaze at as you daydream. Highly highly recommended to refresh yourself from work or battling Seattle traffic!

I did the contrast therapy - the water is COLD but feels fantastic, and you warm right up in the sauna. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, a totally streamlined process from check in to check out, awesome amenities (there’s a shower, water station, and bathroom), amazing attention to detail (Bluetooth available in the sauna, tons of towels, an infrared light color changer and descriptions of what each light does, a drink and snack waiting for you when you're done in their beach room with comfy chairs and sand on the floor)--will be coming back again and again!

This is such a conflictive review, the experience was great until the very end I went in the showers to wrap up my plunge/sauna experience then I saw blood stains on the bathroom shower rug, I mentioned it to the lady at check out she said she highly doubted it was that but that she would check it out and continued to check me out. As I waited outside for my ride she came out and apologized and said she saw it and that it was gross. I was the first appointment of the day so not sure if the night staff fell short here, but it made me question the cleanliness of the place sadly 😔
