Bywater Sauna

I've been to plenty of saunas in Seattle and across the Pacific Northwest and Bywater is my absolute favorite. Nate and staff are super nice and the locations of the saunas can't be beat! Truly hard to choose my favorite because I love them all. I've been a member for a few months now and going to the sauna is the best part of my week. Met a bunch of awesome folks as well. Bywater Sauna melts the Seattle Freeze 😀

Laura and Nate are trailblazers that have built an incredible, authentic sauna community in Seattle. Customer service is great. The locations are perfect for swimming and the saunas are beautiful. Majority of sauna sessions are flawless. I do wish the newer staff members would do a better job during check-in of reminding every guest, every session about not leaving the door open while looking for a seat. This can really impact the experience.

I am hesitant to sing the praises of ByWater Sauna, because, selfishly, I want to keep it a well kept secret. However, because the folks who run it are so dang lovely, I shall spill the beans! I attend ByWater at Golden Gardens and it is a staple in my self care routine. The sauna is lovely, you have an incredible view and are surrounded by people who are also just crazy enough to submerge themselves in the chilly water of the Sound. It is refreshing and restorative and I can’t recommend it enough. Cheers to Nate and the rest of the ByWater team!

Incredible experience! Beautiful saunas, all extremely clean and such great vibes! Such a treat to heat up and then take a (very) refreshing dip. The people looking after the session were super welcoming and the sessions were really well ran.

Bywater Sauna is the jewel in the crown of Seattle's outdoors scene. Users have an hour to alternate between dipping in the ocean and heating up in a beautiful wood-fired cedar sauna. Operating early in the morning and through the evenings multiple days a week, including Saturday and Sunday, it's the perfect kickstart or refreshing end to a workday. The owner/operators Laura and Nate know attendees by name and hold court over the best community the PNW has to offer

What an awesome experience. I’ve been a huge fan of saunas my whole life. This is a steal compared to the money I spend going to the spa, plus it’s outdoors and is a perfect pairing to a cold plunge in the Sound. The people are fantastic so it’s also a fun social experience. Bring a date or bring friends or come alone and make friends. You have to check out Bywater Sauna.

What an amazing addition to the Seattle Community. The owner Nate is kind and welcoming to everyone he meets. The experience itself is addictive and transformative. I was almost brought to tears seeing the Seattle skyline through the window of the sauna and then being able to float in our beautiful PNW water! Both locations are amazing.
