Hyatt Regency Portland at the Oregon Convention Center

Perfect location for tourists—just steps away from the train station and the Moda Center. Close to downtown but far away enough to stay away from chaos. There is a $25 destination fee, but it includes a day pass for the train and bus, which is very convenient. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable. I had read some reviews about noise, so I called ahead and they kindly moved me to the 12th floor. Excellent service throughout. Highly recommend!

We stayed 7 nights at the Hyatt Regency Portland for the SICB event, and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing due to a serious issue and the way the hotel handled it. During the conference, multiple attendees reported bed bugs in the event app. Because of those reports, we decided to check our bed — and to our shock, we found multiple suspicious bugs/particles on the mattress (we took photos and a video). We immediately went down to the front desk, spoke with the manager, and showed them everything in person. We also sent the photos and video via SMS as requested. We were told someone would go to our room, so we left. Three hours later we came back and nobody had checked the room, and even worse: housekeeping had not been informed and knocked on our door to clean. If we had let them in, the evidence on the mattress could have been removed without anyone properly inspecting it. We refused housekeeping entry for that reason. Only after that did they move us to another room, and we were told pest control would inspect the original room the next day. The next day, nobody followed up with us. When we asked, we were simply told "it’s not bed bugs", but they also said they didn’t know what it was — and that was basically the end of it. No apology, no real explanation, no clear resolution. On top of that, our replacement room didn’t even have the same items/amenities as the original room. This was handled with a complete lack of urgency and care, especially for something as serious as potential bed bugs. We left extremely frustrated and we’re confident we will never stay at a Hyatt property again. ⭐️ (I do not recommend this hotel.)

Hi|We actually didn’t stay here, but ended up stopping there after the Blazers and Lakers game at Moda Center. It’s a super short walk from Moda Center. We wanted to grab a bite to eat (annd wait for the uber prices to drop) and the seating area had just closed down, it was around 10 PM and we were told we had to eat at the (busy) bar. I then approached Caroline who was incredible, she told us where to order the food from, and then allowed us to eat in the seating area. She was friendly and supportive. Next time we travel, we will definitely consider the Hyatt.The lobby was big and active. The bar was busy.

Nice room but they gatekeep early check in too hard unless you’re an elite member (…the room was already ready). "All peasants MUST check in at 3, or pay a gold tithe, got it????" -the management probably. Other than that great hotel, clean room, despite being noisy with the train right outside (request a north facing room if you like quiet)

The room was great and check in was very easy at the front desk. Our room was very clean and fresh. The bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately we had a terrible experience with the Valet. We called around 9:55am for our car to be brought up front when we were checking out. They said it would be about 20 minutes. We came down to the lobby about 30 minutes after calling and our car was no where to be seen. We waited until 10:45am and at that point my husband went to ask where our car was and noticed our keys were still in the drawer. He explained that we had called about 45 minutes ago. They said they were sorry and comped the price of our Valet parking but they did not prioritize getting our car and told my husband we would have to wait until they got the peoples cars that were in line in front of us even though we had called from our room almost an hour ago. We thought it would make sense to make things right and prioritize getting our car immediately. Unfortunately that was not the case and we did not have our car until 11:20am which is extremely frustrating as we basically waited 1.5 hours. They also were extremely backed up when we arrived to check in the day prior. I don’t know what the issue is or if they’re just low staffed but this is one of the worst hotel Valet experiences we have ever had. It’s very unfortunate because everything else was great about our stay but still makes us hesitant to book at the Hyatt again in this particular location. We stayed here to be close to the Moda center but the valet is not equipped to handle big groups of people which is annoying as big groups stay at hotels in this area for mass events at the Moda center.

Great experience for my son and I! Self-parking was a bit confusing for me, but the room was clean, beds were comfortable, modern tv, extremely quiet, free wifi and coffee in room. What more could a person want! Definitely will stay here again.

The Hyatt at the Convention Center is the largest hotel in the Portland area…with the smallest fridge. Room size is good but not a fan of the vinyl floor in the room. COLD on your bare feet.||Ice makers on every THIRD floor…for your convenience.||FABULOUS chili in the restaurant.||Will I stay there again? Probably.
