We felt amazing as soon as we arrived to the valet. There was friendly service from the beginning and the check-in process was smooth and quick. The room was BEAUTIFUL and we had an incredible view of the beach. We came down to the lobby bar and had a wonderful drink in the evening before we went out for a night on the town which was very nice. The next morning we were able to enjoy the bar by the pool with an amazing mango carafe and a delicious burger. After our brunch we went over to the beach to enjoy the chairs there and got a few drinks from the beach bar as well. It was a great morning/afternoon. Highly recommend this for a solo traveler like myself (I am in hotels about 40-50% of my month) , couples and it looks family friendly as well. Thank you B Ocean staff!
B-ware! The B-ocean resort figured out how to look nice online, but the reality is on the contrary. First, families should know that they only own 3 pack-n-plays for their entire hotel because "they are not a bigger label hotel so they are not required to offer them". Second, the staff were all very rude and no one was willing to help us solve the problems we had with our rooms. We booked a double double room for us and our 5 year old son and baby with the expectation that we would get a pack-n-play for her as well. They put us in a single king and had no additional cots or baby cribs for us and were completely sold out so we had to sleep with the four of us in one bed. They didn’t resolve the issue of getting us into a double double until 8pm the second night, and they still had no bed for the baby. Every time we called to ask for assistance, the staff were very quick to tell us there was nothing they could do and hang up. (Even in the restaurant the servers just threw the menus on the table without a word and didn’t come back for 15 minutes.) Finally, the prices here for any additional thing are astronomical. The only parking available is an extra $50 per day. The coffee shop inside the hotel was $57 for 2 lattes and a fruit cup. Even the beach chairs outside on their private stretch of sand are an extra $5 each and are not part of the resort fee of $45 a night. I highly recommend finding a different hotel in the area!
This resort had a lot of great things with some minor issues. First lets say this, the resort was clean and the staff was straight up awesome. Friendly, helpful, and very positive. The room we had was clean and regularly serviced, including bottles of water replaced daily. The location is great with easy access to plenty of great places to eat and some fun activities. The bars all have their own drinks and personality. The biggest issue we had was the lack of Microwave in the room and no table for use with room service or leftovers. The shower had no door on it so it was only half enclosed which was a bit odd. But if these are the only issues I would say it is a minor thing. The beach was clean with easy access. Plenty of chairs available. And beach and poolside service. You really can't complain at all. Overall, we liked it.
**Hotel Review: Disappointing Stay** I recently stayed at [Hotel Name] and was thoroughly disappointed. The amenities were lacking, which was surprising given the price. The room had a musty smell that made it uncomfortable to relax. To make matters worse, I encountered bugs crawling around, which is absolutely unacceptable. The cleanliness of the room was subpar; it clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned before my arrival or during our stay. It felt as though my concerns were an inconvenience to them rather than a priority. Management was inconsistent. Some staff members were very nice while other staff members were abrupt and rude. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. There are far better options out there that offer a clean and pleasant environment along with decent customer service. Save your money and look elsewhere!
The hotel staff isn't accommodating to the guests. The front desk reception personnel is rude & helpless. They got us checked in an hour passed the 4 pm cut off time. The room service isn't automatic. You must request it at the front desk & additionally remove the sign off the door. Should my wife get another degree to navigate the rules at the B hotel? Robert who works at the breakfast place - is a rear exception of the rules. Very helpful & useful. Attention management! Robert must be recognized & promoted! The front desk reception people need to be fired ASAP. No hospitality skills. They live up the "B" in the name of this Fort Lauderdale hotel. Another rear exception here is the Caucasian man with the beard who works at the front desk. Very helpful & not rude or confused like the rest. Overall, considering the extremely high prices & all the above, I wouldn't recommend this B hotel
For the price of this hotel, the disappointment was shocking. Stayed here because it was a rendezvous point for a cruise. We did not use the beach or any "resort" amenities. Our room was so freezing cold that they brought up TWO space heaters (which then blew the room’s electricity) plus more blankets. They could not get the room warmer than 59 degrees! Staff said they knew the HVAC system was poor and apologized. The plugs were loose in the walls, the coffee maker did not work, the toilet was loose on the floor and the towels were much thinner than they should be at this price point. The hotel just feels dated and very tired. To their credit, all of the staff were delightfully pleasant and accommodating, but they just have a tough property to work with. I would stay elsewhere next time for sure, regardless of the cruise considerations.
I stayed here the night before a cruise and had a very disappointing experience. I called the night before to ask about early check-in and was told it might be possible, and that I could at least use the amenities until the 3:00 PM check-in, which I was fine with.|I arrived at 9:00 AM and was told my room wasn’t ready. No one offered to store my bags or allow me to use any amenities while I waited. At 3:00 PM, there were still no rooms available. Dozens of guests were waiting in the lobby with no communication or updates. Around 3:45 PM, I was told a room would be available only if I paid for an upgrade, which I feel should have been offered complimentary given the circumstances.|I am a general manager myself, so I understand staffing challenges and busy days—but none of this was communicated to guests.|When I finally got to the room, it was unacceptable: dirty bedding, unvacuumed floors, dirty walls, and visible bed bugs.|The next day, Maria at the front desk told me she would process a refund once she passed it to her manager. That was on the 3rd. Seventeen days later, I am still trying to get this resolved. I’ve called repeatedly—most calls go unanswered, even to sales. On the few occasions I got through, I was told someone would call me back, which never happened.|Do not stay here. The pictures look great online, but the property is run down and customer service is severely lacking. Don’t take my word for it—check the Google reviews.
