Shooters II
Shooters II in Durham is a student-focused bar with an energetic, youthful atmosphere, primarily catering to young adults, especially those affiliated with Duke University. The venue offers affordable drinks and a casual setting with features like beer pong tables and occasional live music, though the playlist leans toward older hits. Parking is straightforward, and entry fees apply for those under 21, which may influence expectations.
Inside, the space can feel crowded, with a lively but sometimes clique-heavy crowd that may limit spontaneous mingling. While the bartenders are generally friendly, the overall experience leans toward a more informal, party-like environment rather than a polished nightlife spot. Ideal for younger patrons looking for a fun, budget-friendly outing, but those seeking a quieter or more mature vibe may find it less appealing.

Customer Reviews
Shooters II has a rating of 3.3 out of 5 based on over 171 reviews on Google
I am not someone who writes lengthy reviews, but this place needs a good description. First, it's not a bad place to be if you're under 25. The price is fair and the parking isn't difficult. The inside is very akin to a frat party. A very young crowd, mainly Duke students with a few from other colleges because it's 18+. They are very clique-y so don't expect to mingle much. Like a Frat party, the room is overly crowded, stick and muggy. The students have no qualms vaping inside and will blow the vapor directly into your face. The music is bad if you're expecting any level of professionalism. The dj doesn't blend tracks, just plays the next song with a slight cross-fade, no tempo adjustments. It also is not always dancing music, just outdated popular songs. The drinks are reasonably priced, but again, more similar to what you would get at a house party. There are beer pong tables and a few booths. They do not have the mechanical bull out every night so ask the bouncer before you come in. Be sure to have 2 forms of ID, as the bouncers will sometimes assume one is fake and keep it. Honestly, I wouldn't go again, but if you're young and just wanna move it's great for that.
This place is 18+, but if you’re under 21, you have to pay to enter. $21 for unc, Duke, and state students, $31 for other ppl under 21. Honestly for this price I would expect more but you get nothing more than live music(I’m not professional in music but the music transitions are kinda abrupt). Vibes are good and the place is pretty clean.
We were in town to see the Van Pimpenstein show. We had a great time at Shooters. When the crowd on the ground floor became a bit too much, we went upstairs and it was perfect. The bartenders were nice, the drinks were fine, Epstein didn't kill himself.
Ronnie was an incredible driver! He picked us up from the bar and made the ride home smooth and comfortable. He was super friendly, polite, and professional the entire time. He even went out of his way to ensure we felt safe and taken care of, which was really appreciated after a long night out. If you’re looking for someone dependable and kind, Ronnie is your guy. Highly recommend his service!
Insanely fun bar. They have a mechanical bull. Basically the go to bar in Durham from what I hear. They also do pong which is kind of cool
The place is very spacious. Good dj he played all the 2000s hit. The only reason it’s not getting 5 stars is there is a lot of fat middle aged man spilling there drinks on the elevated surface. Other then that there a good crowd of young kids and definitely recommend if you like to have a good time!!
This pub has all duke students and they are in groups you will hardly find anyone from outside, if you are looking for company I would not recommend this because its full of Duke students only and mostly under age 18 till 20. If you are above 30 please avoid this pub beacuse you wont find people in that age group. As said by all the reviewers their music isn't great its old. Nice place to hangout but not that great. 5$ parking 10$ Entry Drinks extra but reasonably priced e.g. beer can for 4$
