5 stars go to Willie in Shipping and Receiving. He was the only friendly face who greeted me and my daughter. I wasn’t aware there was a second floor, and he proactively let us know and guided us to the elevators when he saw we had a stroller. I spent over an hour in the store, and not a single associate offered assistance. I had to look up everything on my phone. The two employees on the floor either avoided eye contact or seemed unwilling to engage, and they were unable to answer basic questions when I approached them. I ultimately went home and completed a 6k purchase online. If I could assign commission to Willie, I would. He represents the level of professionalism and courtesy your team should consistently deliver.

Zero stars. Absolutely horrible service. Asked for a price adjustment after a product we purchased went on sale a few days later. A lot of major retailers offer this. Lady we spoke to was rude and gave us a ugly and disgusted look. Horrible snobbish sales assistant. Eventually she did the adjustment. We returned 30 mins later to purchase another product. The lady was again unfortunately behind check. Saw my wife waiting behind another person who was being served. She continued doing what she was doing (may have been important) but then all of a sudden decided to go pet the dog of a customer who just walked in instead of serving people in line. Looking at other recent reviews seems this store does not give a damn about customer service or basic politeness.

Customer service is laughably bad. I would give this store 0 stars if I could. Completed turned me off of shopping at West Elm. My experience makes me wonder if the employees get bonuses based on how FEW people actually make purchases in the store. No one greets you when you walk into the store, no one asks you if they can help you. When you ask for help , every single customer service representative looks peeved that you are asking them for help. They are not friendly nor helpful. No one knows which display models are in the store. Reading the reviews, it looks to be a common experience. Pretty appalling how this store is run. Someone from the headquarters should figure out what is going on with these employees.

Incredibly rude staff working here. I ordered a lamp that was a store model and they told me it’ll be ready on Friday. Friday comes its still not ready and the same story: it’ll be ready sunday, itll be ready Thursday. Nobody apologized or took accountability for any of these inconveniences caused even once. Very rude staff

I love coming to this store as this is probably the largest showroom for West Elm in the Bay Area. They have two levels of large furniture, home decor, lighting, bedding and accessories related to home display you can browse easily. Always come here to give me lots of inspirations! Friendly and helpful staff onsite with Design Center to guide you through to specific question you may have as well.

I bought an office chair here. The colour unfortunately didn’t fit so I went to the store to exchange it for a different colour. However, the service was so terrible that I didn’t even bother and just ended up returning it all together. Very disappointing.

Bunch of CLOWNS working here ! 🚩The staff are RUDE, DISSMISSIVE, and carry such a terrible attitude so bad it’s almost impressive. Consistent across people we interacted with and particularly the two women who worked at the register, not sure how they ended up in this job. There was another guy upstairs who was napping on the sofas instead of helping customers. These are not people you should put In front of customers. We had zero associates wanting to help us the two times we visited, and when you ask for help they get pissed off like how dare you bother me; mind you we were ready to furnish a whole house, a very easy sell, not like we were wasting their time
