This place is absolutely beautiful. Plenty of people know it’s there so it’s not always quiet. No luck in this spot the day that I went but there were visibly hundreds of fish from shad to gar to carp. I was running a catfish set up mid day, so that’s on me. Haha
The fishing is good. Make sure you are RIVER ready. Big fish
In the early '70s we launched a 14 ft. John boat just above the slough and ran a couple of Trot Lines in the slough and out in the river. We caught BIG Channel Cats.
Would be more but someone broke into my car and took my wallet I understand it's my fault, but still I live and I learn to fish another day
Nosey people too concerned about everyone else. I guess they've had a gang of problems in the past.
Access from Columbia Bottoms. Lots of trash so bring a trash bag if you want to help out. But great place to relax.
Love to hang out here and fish. Great times always!
