Presque Isle: Beach #1

Presque Isle State Park's Beach #1 in Pennsylvania is a fantastic spot for a relaxing day by the water. The beach is clean, well-maintained, and offers plenty of space for visitors to spread out and enjoy the sun. The surrounding natural beauty, including the nearby trails and lush greenery, adds to the experience. There are also facilities like restrooms and picnic areas, making it convenient for an extended stay. Overall, it's a serene and enjoyable beach destination.

Beach one had to be my favorite Beach on Presque Isle, it was the quickest to get to and was not crowded at all in September. There were multiple picnic benches so I was easily able to find one to read that. The wave breaks and the mini boardwalk area meant there were tons of great rocks and quartz to be found. I saw a bald eagle, deer and grasshoppers all during my time there! Restrooms were close by, super clean and accessible.

I have been in PA for 11 years and finally got to go to Erie for the first time! Much better than I expected! The water is very clean, the sand is darker in the water and makes it seems like the water isn't clear/clean, until you get closer. Everyone really helps keeping the beach clean, no trash left behind, maybe a few by the road here and there. Will definitely go there more often!

found a good bit of gorgeous sea glass here. beautiful, quiet beach because of the rocks.

We "beach hopped" and the park and got a Pic at all of the 4 we visited. Beach one had the neatest assortment of rocks.

Awesome beach with great amenities and very good spit for sunsets.

Love this place any day of the year. Be sure to walk the beach to see what lakes has pushed ashore. So many flat rocks with great shapes
