Kite Beach

Snow.....ice..ice shards...freshwater sand...ice dunes that look like ice mounds...lake is frozen as far out on the horizon as your naked eye can see...first time seeing Lake Erie frozen....Snow storm Fern. Worth seeing once. Cold, but no real wind. Sunny and in the teens. Only three other people were out there with us trying to figure out what was what in relation to where the actual frozen water was and where the sandy shore was. No dead fish visible. No birds. No kites. Deep snow...no tennis shoes. Boots only. Gloves on at all times. Sunglasses required. Layered clothing. Head gear also. Safety awareness....icey dunes present and drop offs. Do not be out here at night. 2/8/2026 was the snow-ice hike adventure here.

beautiful beach, parking isn't great but its close to the lighthouse which is also gorgeous.

One of the best places in the Area to fly kites. It is called kite beach because the wind blows and people bring crazy kites that are incredible.

Beautiful clean beach, tables to picnic at, perfect to hit the water, nice kite action!

So picturesque! Our children loved seeing the kites, the water was clean, sand was so soft we didn't think it was natural! We enjoyed the most beautiful sunset as well. Took the kayak out on the water and had a blast! Easy access, too!

This was awesome to see in person, and on such a lovely day and on a lovely beach.
