Passages Wine and Books

One of my absolute favorite spots in West Town, Passages Wine & Books is so much more than a bookstore or a wine bar, it’s a true third space that feels welcoming to both newcomers and regulars alike. Amanda, the owner, is incredibly kind and always happy to offer thoughtful recommendations, whether you’re looking for your next read or the perfect glass of wine. The snack menu is slept on, the chocolates and rotating cheese selection is consistently outstanding and pairs beautifully with their wines. Passages also shines as a community hub, hosting a wide range of events including sound baths, comedy shows, book clubs, and yoga / meditation sessions (to name a few). My personal favorite is the book-and-wine pairing nights, which are such a fun and creative way to experience a "bookish" wine tasting. I can’t recommend stopping by enough if you’re in the neighborhood, Passages is a truly special part of West Town.

Super cozy space to enjoy some wine with our book club. Was so happy someone suggested meeting at Passages for our book club. The owner was so accommodating when we had 20 women show up and take over the space. We had a fantastic time and I look forward to more visits here! Also love the mix of events here. I haven't attended one since the book/wine pairing events sell out so quickly, but I can't wait for more event announcements!

We’re so grateful Amanda opened this concept in the neighborhood. Wine and books are two of my wife’s favorite things….so it was only fitting we host a small birthday party at Passages for her. Amanda was super helpful and all our guests loved the experience in the shop. All the wines were great as were the cheese boards!

My favorite book & wine shop in the city! They carry a great selection of books, wine, beer, and plenty of NA options along with yummy cheese plates. They also host a lot of different events that incorporate reading and other hobbies (ie pilates, flower arrangement, wine tastings, etc)

What a wonderful concept! Stopped by for a cheese tasting, which was delicious. The book selection is great, something for everyone. It is a cozy spot to read a book with a glass of wine. They host book clubs and a variety of other fun events as well. I will definitely be back!!

It’s great to see a new independent bookshop/wine bar! I had fun talking to the owner. Their selection of books is mostly current popular fiction, and a small cookbook section. I enjoyed having a class of wine while I browsed. I can see this shop becoming a community hub.
