This gorgeous space on SW 9th is my new favorite bookshop! The selection is so well curated - it's both literary and accessible! The vibe is so welcoming and warm, and you can sit and read and slow down while you make your choices. I'm seriously in love with this place.

One of the smallest used bookstores I’ve ever been in and also one of the best! Incredible selection of modern literature and fiction. If you’re in PDX do not miss this place! ❤️

This is a must-see for the curious. The owner has a diversity of high quality books logically organized along the 2 story bookend-shaped store. The prices are reasonable. No stroll down quirky Foster Blvd is complete without a stop here.

I bought an Isherwood novel here once. I really ought to go back; lovely little shop. Had a conversation with the shopkeep about Amis Sr. Actually I’m rating that whole afternoon 5 stars as well as the shop!

Small, cozy, and expertly curated! I loved my visit to Word Virus. This bookshop houses a large poetry, memoir, and literature collection. Its small but comfortable, and the owner was so kind.

Wonderful store, they have so much unique stuff that I don't see at other book stores. Wish I was local so I could come here all the time and really dive in. They have a discount section and I saw several signed copies. Great for philosophy and non-English literature.

I am not exaggerating when I say this is my favorite bookshop in all of Portland. Given how many bookshops are in Portland, this is really saying something. First, the curation is unbelievably good. Insanely good. Even though this is a pretty small shop, I can easily spend an hour browsing. Second, there's enough change over time, so that every time I visit, there are new and interesting books to see. Third, they use the little space they have VERY well, and it doesn't ever feel disorganized or cramped. The woman who runs the shop is lovely and is happy to look up or order books that they don't have in stock. Parking has never been a problem. I am just totally in love with this place and I can't wait to go back.
