This is a fun little trail that splinters all over the place, and I really wish I could rate it higher. It looks like it was once a lovely trail, especially if you take the underpass to the waterworks garden. However, currently it has litter all over the place and severely needs a clean up. It also has a significant overgrowth problem with blackberry in many places. This is a real shame because this could be an amazing hidden gem in Renton. Especially, with how much wildlife there is! I saw at least a half dozen herons on my small walk, at least a dozen bunnies, and a plethora of birds I still have yet to ID.
The well established and somewhat littered trails splinter in a half-dozen directions as you hike into the forest from this trailhead. 4 dedicated parking spaces at this trailhead.
It’s very large and natural with many trails with no directional signs. What is fun it’s so easy to get lost especially at night. For moments of privacy there are many short sidings where you and your friend can have time away
A magical time to be had here amongst the trails and riparian things, reminiscent of the best aspects of California, especially the Silicon Valley. If you moved here to participate in the Rise of our Tech Overlords, I sure hope you'll take a little "me-time" in this welcoming oasis in the south end.
I'm the type that loves surprises, and you sure can get a surprise on this trail. Seems like a good place to go spelunking.
There are so many new and interesting people you get to meet every day. All you gotta do is get out of your car and… mingle…
Nice little wild place along a wetland. There used to be and probably still is a colony of Great Blue Herons living here. I haven't been here in a while and couldn't shake the feeling it has become a place for single guys to meet other single guys.
