Advice Booth is everything you want in a neighborhood bar .. heart, personality, and intention. Laura, the owner (and former bartender), is the kind of person who makes you feel seen the second you walk in. You can tell she genuinely cares about her staff and her community … everyone’s treated well here, and it shows. The space has this perfect balance: too much taste and warmth to be called a dive, but just enough grit and comfort to make it real. The walls are covered in art, there are board games, a Photo Booth, a laid-back patio with picnic tables … it’s all designed for people to actually connect. And because she doesn’t have a kitchen? She went old-school and got a hot-dog warmer. Laura’s "glizzies" are legendary …pure hospitality on a bun. Advice Booth isn’t just a bar. It’s a third space … the kind of place that reminds you how good community can feel when someone truly gives a damn.

YOU CAN GET ANY FOOD YOU WANT DELIVERED HERE!! Love that lack of restrictions and it’s highly encouraged- they have a very small menu and if you like hot dogs you’re gonna be soooo happy. Full bar with specialty cocktails and slushies plus a well curated draft list and selection of bottles and cans - sometimes Jell-O shots with pop rocks! Dogs are welcome and there’s a great covered patio with heat. Service is fantastic- real solid folks behind the bar here - be sure to tip well! Cozy little spot, great drinks and jello shots. Taco Tuesday is great.

We didn't get food. We already ate. Just one drink for my sister and I stopped in. They have a tent patio right out front. Lots to look at around the bar. Loved this photo booth. Includes two strips printing out. One color and one b+w. 4 shots! Very fast and friendly service at the bar.

Really awesome bar that is tucked away from the crowds with a great outdoor patio. The main entry way to the bar is an inconspicuous side path, while there's a sign hanging above the street, it is very easy to miss. The bar has a great range of drink options with some food as well (things like tortilla chips, hot dogs, bar nuts, etc.). As someone who doesn't drink a lot of alcohol, it was nice to see such a good range of beverage options including CBD seltzers. The bartender was super welcoming and friendly, and did a great job with our drinks. The outdoor patio is great- it's quick a large space with both covered and uncovered seating. You can smoke in this area, and the space is organized such that it doesn't seem to trap noise too badly.

We just moved to North Portland and are so happy to have found such a chill, organic place within walking distance. The bartenders are super friendly and always conversational, they have a great indoor space and a covered outdoor space that's comfortable even on chilly / damp evenings. The Burt Reynolds painting has to be our fave piece of decor... Our code phrase for wanting to visit the Advice Booth is now "wanna go spend some time with Burt?"

This woman-owned business stems from deep roots of encouragement and community, partnering with other businesses striving for the same central theme of love and growth. They have a wide assortment of drinks, a solid food menu (featuring all the cheese), comfy places to sit, a dog-friendly patio (heated and covered!), pinball, and a funky vending machine.
