Came in for lunch based on a locals recommendation that today was burger day (Wednesdays) aka discounts on most of their burgers. I choose "The Barron Burger" lettuce, tomato, onions (raw or sautéed), mushrooms and American or provolone cheese on a Kaiser roll. Burger was cooked to perfection (medium). The fries looked house made, IDK if they were, but they were good. The ambiance was a place that had me thinking this is a place I’d like to come back to after work but I don’t live in P-Town. And lastly the wait staff were spot on!! It’s seat yourself but 3 different employees were on it and took care of us quickly even thought it was the lunch rush time.

Very tender juicy burger charboiled flavor taste smell. This is two diffrent sandwiches cowboy burger and black blue. Try to black and blue if you love fresh blue cheese.

Stopped in for a late lunch, the bar area was busy but the dining area was pretty much empty. We sat down and started looking at the drink menu. It was 10 minutes before anyone came to greet us. We ordered our drinks, appetizers and salads. Drinks came out and were very tasty. Our salad was good but plain. The appetizers were both delicious and bad at the same time. The potato skins weren’t cooked completely and the lumpia was just bland. The southwest egg rolls were top notch along with the onion rings. Unfortunately, when our check came, we were extremely disappointed. Yet again, another restaurant charging us to pay them with credit cards. That would’ve been nice to know upfront and very much might’ve swayed whether we ate there or not.

I stopped by Baron’s Pub for lunch and might have caught them at the wrong time. I remember when this place first opened and how my parents used to go, so I had some nostalgia going in. The food was okay—hard to mess up a club sandwich—but nothing standout. The drink, on the other hand, was solid, especially for the price. What was missing was the friendliness I expect from a pub. It was right after a St. Patrick’s Day afternoon celebration, so maybe the staff was just worn out. That said, the prices were very reasonable, so I’d be willing to give it another shot.

I really can’t say enough nice things about this experience. We were a large party and called needing a table for 11 in a hurry. They were extremely helpful and we had no wait on a busy Saturday night. The food was outstanding, I mean everything was fantastic. The service was top notch. I can highly recommend Barons for almost any occasion.

I have always loved this place! The food is always on point , staff are excellent, and bathrooms are clean! The atmosphere is very welcoming. The variety of foods between awesome pizzas, mouth-watering cheddar bacon burgers, and many other burger choices, wonderful steaks, as well as appetizers to die for! Roast is a definite entree you should try! It's definitely worth a visit!I'm never disappointed! It's not only historically located in the heart of Portsmouth, it's historically awesome!
