Presque Isle: Beach 8

Great beach. Rather busy but not overcrowded. Lifeguards are good but leave in the afternoon so be aware. A nice waffle food truck was available when we were there. Clean and with much available parking. Good restroom and changing area.

Usually we go to beach 11, but during our last visit we decided to give the beach 8 shot. Because it was July 4th, it was packed in a way that we had never seen it before. This beach locations has showers and bathrooms are cleaned regularly in addition to the parking lot area. Although it was full of kids, I think the flatness of Beach 11 is better for toddlers and little ones.

This beach is so nice and it wasn't very crowded. It stated that there was consessions at this location, however it was closed. They do have many bathrooms and are big enough to change with benches in them. They were clean and the water/ beach was well kept. Always love coming to erie!!

Busy but nice. They do seem to pretty strongly enforce the no swimming in non lifeguard watched areas, which is odd compared to experiences at state parks in NY and OH. They also allow smoking on the beach, which may bea plus for some people but definitely not for me.

This is said to be the handicap-accessible beach but not so much. Just a carpet-style layout that doesn't even go all the way to the picnic tables or the water. The view of the sunset was lovely.

We love this beach. It's awesome to come up here and relax. Beach 8.

A family with small child would not social distant. Moved table closer to our table. Could not sit on lake side of our table.Horrible people. Would not even give us 6 inches.placed their high chair and stroller resting on our table.Garbage everywhere.Restrooms closed. 100 cigarette butts.Toilets overflowing..tent worms everywhere. Governor Wolf has no shame.
