Carrie Gaulbert Cox Park

Breathtaking views of Ohio River looking downstream to Downtown Louisville, Kentucky or upstream to Lewis & Clark Bridge east end crossing. The sounds of wildlife and lapping water are mixed with sounds of boats launching or speeding over the river water and tug boats pushing barges along the river. There's a playground for children and picnic tables and grills for groups to enjoy. Some weekends can be a bit crowded and occasionally cars speed unnecessarily in demonstration of performance. On a weekday morning or afternoon the park can be an inspiring place to sit and enjoy nature and the sounds and sights of the Ohio River at Louisville, Kentucky.

A nice and quiet park by the river. It’s easily accessible, cold and snowy but nevertheless, it is a nice escape from the city… even if you just want to sit in your car and watch the river traffic.

If you walk to the boat ramp you'll find a hidden concrete pathway that stretches the length of the park down at the water's edge. Nice place to take in a sunset or do a little fishing.

Amazing park. Where we have little car shows at. Sometimes and cook outs. Space and parking is always good. There’s grills playground and can even get down by the water. There’s port a potties where the closed bathrooms are. Well kept especially after being flooded twice now this year

On beautiful evenings, as you can see, or even during the day, Cox's Park is a wonderful park to enjoy with family and friends. Don't take my word for it though, go see for yourself. And as always, stay safe y'all!!!

lots of open space to play whatever you want to or just enjoy the weather. I can let my cats play in the tall grasses by the river and they love it!
