Thompson Mill RV Park

We stayed at Thompson Mill as full timers for a year. I read a review where someone said if you’re looking for a party place this is not it and thank goodness it’s not. We just needed a place to park and stay that was close to my husband’s work without all the activities going on and golf carts/kids running around and that’s what we got. That is one of the things we enjoyed about our year stay. It was quiet & everyone was polite and mainly kept to themselves. All the guests were respectful of each other’s space and of each other. The owner Joe is very hospitable and hands on. Although he has a maintenance guy you will see him out there working on the property to keep it clean and running as this property has been in his family for years. He takes pride in it. He offers you an opportunity be part of his gardening club which I found pretty neat but didn’t get a chance to partake myself. Melissa & Connie who are part of his staff are just a couple wonderful ladies. Very nice and very helpful. I didn’t get the maintenance guys name but he was very nice and hard working guy. He’s always on the property making sure things are working or cleaning to keep it beautiful. I recommend this park if you’re looking for something long term or even if you’re in town for work. Even though it’s not a gated park, I never felt unsafe there or needed to worry about leaving my motorhome if I needed to be gone for days at a time. The monthly rate is very reasonable. You can get mail there at your site if needed. Safe delivery for packages if needed & there is a laundry room on site if needed. Pet friendly with an area you can let your dog run around in. I do recommend this park

Met owner Joe and park manager Connie the first time I came in. They are kind, friendly and helpful. This is a tree lined, family friendly RV park that I would recommend to anyone looking for long term or short rental. Connie is wonderful and the maintenance man installed my window unit ac quickly and efficiently. I will never move from this park. I called so many RV parks all over Jacksonville and none compare with this one!!!Thank you to the entire crew at Thompson Mill RV park. I'm so very grateful for yall.

Very quiet and clean. Joe, the owner and the young woman Melissa who works in the office are both so very kind and helpful. They attend to your needs the best they can. It has been a lovely experience so far.

This RV park was everything I was looking for Quiet and peaceful. The owner was a kind responsive guy. Reasonable prices for what I needed. 15-20 min from riverside which was nice. Highly recommend

This RV park was clean, kept up well and fairly priced. All the park rules are given so there are no surprises. The park is quiet and peaceful. I especially resound other people in saying that Joe the owner and his staff are king, gracious and do all that they can to make your stay most pleasant. Thank you again Mr. Joe and Staff!

It is a great place for the working person would recommend it to everyone who wants a quiet and relaxing site

Quiet & clean RV community. Our family has been here since September 2020. It is set up on a large, beautiful piece of property with lots of room for our 2 little kids to run & explore. The owner is kind & works hard to maintain the land & also keeps up on any maintenance around the property. For those who enjoy the outdoors, there is plenty of wildlife. The kids & I take walks around the property frequently & have seen some bunnies, turkeys & turtles in the pond to name a few. There is a pair of hawks that have been around regularly since we moved here. I once spotted an American kestrel & have occasionally found fox tracks. (Not in the area where the RVs are located) There is a park with a recently renovated playground and also an elementary school within walking distance. We like that it is a pretty short drive to get to the downtown area, but still far enough away from the craziness & noise of the city. Highly recommend!
