Unhitched Sleepy Hollow RV Park

This park seems to be like a family everyone knows everyone. It’s like our own community small town living. The new owners have already started doing great things with the park, the staff is just delightful. I really look forward to seeing what they can bring back to this campground this season to make us the number 1 destination camp spot in the Midwest. Thank you Unhitched Sleepy Hollow you’ve brought my childhood memories back to life.

I stayed here for 90% of October and the services and grounds are continuing to improve daily. The new staff and owners are putting in maximum effort to improve every aspect of the park. I highly encourage people to check out this campground now and in the future. The Halloween event was awesome. Thank you staff and crew for make me and my families stay a very positive experience. We will stay here anytime we are in this area.

Just giving a shout out to the man (assuming owner/manager) who helped us air up a flat tire today! You have no idea how important your role was in getting my friend where he needed to be today. You made a challenging situation a bit better, and I’m unendingly grateful for your generosity.

I got to do an event for sleepy hollow and it was An amazing Halloween event! So many kids turned out, fun hay rides and treats for the littles! We seen campfires for kids and there was a play ground the kids enjoyed! Definitely recommend it was such a charming place! Gave us the Halloween town vibes for the event and we felt very welcomed by the staff and their campers that were staying there! ✅

We had a wonderful family night at their trunk or treat/creepy campground event- what a wonderful way to bring the community together!! We can’t wait to do it again- hopefully it becomes a tradition! The owners were well organized and very generous and kind!

I had the pleasure of being invited to one of their events. Oh my God, it was so much fun. Everyone was very friendly. The place is very pretty. My son loved seeing the ducks. I hope to bring one home (he asked me for it) He wanted to bring one home 🦆🪿

We arrived at this campground at 3:15pm and the office was already closed for the day. No one was around; no check-in paperwork posted outside nothing. After about ten minutes of standing around wondering what to do, a young lady drove up on a golf cart and told us she got off work at 3 pm and that the office was closed but she would go ahead and open it up to give us our paperwork, which was locked inside, huh? So, how were we supposed to get our site number and any other info we needed? But whatever, we got our site and she quickly disappeared. After checking our site number closer on our paperwork, I realized this was not the site that I reserved months ago and paid extra to lock-in and there was no one around to question the issue. We went to our new camp site (#49) in our 36 ft 5th wheel, that we did not reserve, and the site was extremely unlevel. There was a 7 inch difference in height from side to side. It took every piece of dunnage (2X10's) that we had plus some that we could scrounge up to get our 5th wheel level. Again, whatever, we got it done. After getting our rig set-up, I went to take a shower in our RV, and right in the middle of my shower, we completely lost water pressure. Eventually, after about 5 minutes of standing in the shower covered in soap and shampoo, the water slowly came back on. Come to find out, they had a water main leak and because we were on top of a hill we lost pressure first. Believe it or not, I was the one who figured this out for them. Ridiculous! We stayed a total of three days and the water leak was still not repaired when we left. Lastly, as we left, it was like an obstacle course dogging all the low hanging trees that needed to be trimmed around the park and trying not to damage our rig. All in all, this could be a nice campground, but it is in serious need of better management. Until then, I would definitely not recommend this campground.
