Holiday Inn Express & Suites Berkeley by IHG

Our second week-long stay here and it won't be our last. FREE parking (other places charge up to 60 bucks a night to park), FREE breakfast (eggs, yogurt, pastries, etc.), good location, large newly remodeled room with fridge, microwave, great water pressure in shower, daily housekeeping, fresh baked cookies each night, and a small fitness gym on property. Truly everything you need. Best part of the stay is the exceptional staff. From Luis the manager, to the friendly housekeeping staff and Yana at the front desk, we were treated like family each day. This place is not the fanciest choice in town, but if you want excellent hospitality and an unbeatable value, this is it.

We have been staying at this hotel every 4 to 6 weeks for 16 years, so obviously we like it. The staff are wonderful, price includes free breakfast and free parking, and the location works for us. |But we hadn’t been able to travel since February, 2024. We had such a warm greeting from all the staff, who remembered our favourite room and had it ready and waiting for us. The whole place has been beautifully renovated with new bathrooms, carpets, and furniture. |Thank you Berkeley Holiday Inn.

I stayed here with a work colleague who booked. hotel location to cleanliness was perfect also very quiet. But the guy working at the reception in the night was rude as hell. I had some projects due and we we were brain storming some idea and a friend decided to come and drop some folder off but this front desk dude on Friday night was so rude he turned away my work colleague. He told him he was going to call cops on him etc. he was not staying there but he was dropping some papers off. This guy had some serious angry face. Very rude. Same thing I was in town so my cousin could not meet me either turned away has night time doors were locked at 6pm. Your Front desk staff is not basically fit for customer service does not even have a smile on the face to greet customers/guests.

Well I tried a few hotels in Berkeley and sorry I hate valet parking and I really hate paying for it. I've got tons of stuff I travel with and need to get it. Plus I don't want to wait around for someone to get my vehicle. There is ample and convenient parking here. The rooms are nice with a little fridge and microwave which makes sticking to my diet easier. The beds are comfy and enough blankets. Great water pressure in the bathroom..mind you pull that curtain all the way because you could cause a mini flood ( my bad..that was my fault..the water was hot and ready in seconds!) The staff is wonderful especially that nice young man doing afternoons. The breakfast was varied and good. There was even bacon one day which I never thought I'd see again at a hotel breakfast. We have family in the area but THEY SMOKE. We really appreciate your 100% non smoking policy. I also like the eco friendly shampoo/ conditioner/body wash in big containers on the wall so less wasteful plus enough to wash even the longest head of hair.

Their was one of your workers who was very professional her name was Yema Kapoo, I might mis spelled her name but you should get close to who I am talking about. Please thank her for me for making my stay a more pleasant one. Thank you, Bruce Davis

Very disappointed with management staff. I left my overnight bag with medication in it. I have called over 15 times to have it returned willing to pay for shipping. Every time I called I was told I had to wait for the manager, but my bag was still there. Finally, I was able to connect with the manager and he stated it was not there. Staff earlier in the day told me it was sitting on the desk.|Very dishonest management !!!

I have stayed at this location many times since the start of this year, & each & every stay is fantastic. The staff here is absolutely phenomenal.||For starters, there’s free parking & plenty of space to unload/load your vehicle. I have always been greeted with a great attitude as well, which is genuinely appreciated. This location is very well kept, starting at the lobby & going into the rooms. The rooms have plenty of space with comfortable beds that allow you to really settle in & relax (it’s also very quiet- which allows me to get my work done). Restrooms are always clean & there’s great water pressure from the showers, which is appreciated! They also serve breakfast- & if you’re looking to try something new, there are so many great food spots nearby. It’s in a great location & I’ve had absolutely 0 issues with my time spent here. Perfect spot for a stay!
