Chattanooga Marriott Downtown

I stayed here for one night in March 2026 for a conference. The room was clean, though be aware that the showers are quite narrow (less than 3 feet wide). The service was a tale of two experiences. Taylor at the front desk was fantastic; despite a line of six people and the conference rush, she remained patient and polite. Unfortunately, checkout was the opposite. The agent on duty (Ms.Jae) was dismissive when I asked for clarification on my parking charges. I had been told to expect a discounted $18 conference rate for parking, but it wasn't on my final bill. When I asked about it, the agent became visibly exasperated. After a confusing exchange, she informed me she had been "trying to waive the fee," but since I kept asking, she decided to charge me after all. It was a bizarre and somewhat cold interaction to end an otherwise pleasant stay.

This hotel exceeded every expectation at every turn. It was though every employee was coached to be the most amenable person you ever met. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and well appointed. In a word, it all came together, something a person who frequently travels cannot say often enough. Kudos to the Chatt Marriott staff. As perfect an experience as I’ve had in four decades of traveling. Whether you’re here on business or to experience this great town, you will not find a hotel that tries harder and executes better.

Positive: Beds were extremely small but comfortable. Negative: No daily room service. The pool was filthy. Fire alarms went off three times after 10PM our first night. No luggage carts or any offers of assistance with bags. The bathroom door is a sliding barn door that doesn’t do anything for noise.

Enjoyed Valentines day weekend here. Really nice hotel. Staff was incredible. Breakfast was good. Parking was ok. Location for me wasnt great but it worked out.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Marriott hotel due to a winter storm that prevented me from commuting to work. The hotel's staff kindly provided accommodations to ensure my safety. When my car battery died on the last evening, the front desk staff, including Katie, were extremely helpful and notified Jordan, who assisted me in jump-starting my vehicle despite the freezing temperatures. I am deeply grateful for the exceptional customer service displayed by the staff, who truly embody the spirit of hospitality. Although my stay was brief and work-related, I was impressed by the hotel's amenities and my comfortable room. If I find myself in Chattanooga, TN, in the future, I would certainly choose to stay at this Marriott property again. The staff's dedication to providing outstanding service is what sets this hotel apart. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Katie and Jordan for their kindness and assistance.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We were here for a rowing event you park your car in their garage for I think it was $20 a night. I was done greeted by Carly at the Front Desk who was very happy to help me. We were lucky to get a room on a high floor with a great view of Lookout Mountain. The rooms were very clean. The only hiccup we had was that we ordered food for the team from the hotel that was cold but a group of teenagers usually doesn’t complain about food overall we had a great experience. You can use the trolley to get downtown. It makes a stop at the Marriott and is free but accept donations. The bed we slept in was soft and comfortable.

Coming from a Member Don’t believe the Hype!! I stayed here for 2 nights. First night went into what is supposed to be a private lounge only to see roaches not 1 or 2 but 3. Get to my room thermostat at 71 immediately turned it up it’s 31 degrees outside. Next morning still at 71 by now temperature of room noticeably cool. Ask front desk if someone could check was told maintenance on the way never showed. Keep in mind it’s a 2 night stay. Windows are old and single glass ice accumulated on inside of window. After checking out charged 200$ for duvet (old off white sheet) that had fruit stains on them I could have had them dry cleaned for less. I am so Surprised at Marriot. As a Previous Employer I am ashamed of this visit. Marriott is held to a standard and this visit was not it. I donated to the cause but never again!
