The Dwell Hotel

We had never heard of this quaint and quirky boutique hotel in downtown Chattanooga but are so glad we found it! They go above and beyond to make your stay pleasant, interesting and memorable. The vintage decor is so fun, the rooms spacious, location convenient and staff attentive and personable. We hated to leave!

We had the pleasure of staying at The Dwell Hotel in Chattanooga last night. An adorable, boutique hotel right in the heart of downtown. Each room is individually decorated with a different theme. Hotel manager L'Erin greeted us at check-in and walked us up to our room. Such a welcomed, personal touch. We stayed in The Tiki Room, which included a gas fireplace, a massive tub with room for two, the most comfortable king size bed, and so much space! I never put anything in the "special requests" section of online reservations but I did add "we are celebrating our anniversary". Didn’t expect anything at all by even adding that so we were genuinely surprised to see that we had champagne on ice waiting in our room upon check-in. The staff were ALL so incredibly kind, everything was clean, we highly recommend if you’re looking for a hotel in Chattanooga. 🤩 My only tip if you are staying here: make sure you pack your charging block. Our room did not have any furniture or outlets that were equipped with smart device charging capabilities. So nowhere to plug in our charging cords that we brought. I was happy to see they had one in our room available for purchase ($18 for the wall block and the cord, which is reasonable in my opinion) but we luckily ended up not needing one.

Not enough words to describe how amazing this property is! From the decor and ambiance to the outstanding customer service, everything was absolutely perfect. And OMG — the tub in my room was the highlight of my evenings!|A special shout-out to Harrison, who made sure I started every mornings off right.|I had other hotel options, but I wanted something that felt a little different — more personal and homey. I’m so glad I made that choice. If I ever find myself in the Chattanooga area again, this will definitely be my go-to place to stay.

The rooms are spacious and well decorated. However there were toenail clippings from the previous guest left in the bathtub. We casually informed the front desk when we left the following morning expecting for it to be cleaned when we returned, but the clippings remained when we got back late that night. The fitted sheet on the bed also would not stay on the bed two nights in a row after many attempts at adjustments by us. The room was humid and they’re running dehumidifiers throughout the space so we’re assuming they know that too. We just didn’t enjoy our stay here, but would recommend the bar in the lobby. The bartenders are fantastic and the drink menu is super fun.

Funky and unique decor all throughout the hotel. Staff told us that each room is decorated differently. Great shower, comfortable beds, walking distance to food and museums.

My husband and I chose this hotel for my birthday stay because we really enjoyed our time a couple years ago for our anniversary everyone was so friendly and the hotel was very clean and welcoming. Unfortunately this time was not the same we came late due to a delay back home when we arrived the front desk Harrison was extremely rude and talked to us in a very smart , condescending tone for no reason, which set the tone for the rest of the visit he made us feel extremely uncomfortable. Then upon entering the room there was hair in the shower and tub and bed sheet had a huge stain. I was definitely disappointed as seeing the service was so good the first visit.

The Dwell is a gem in a wonderful city! The decor and design were delightful. Very cool, as the photos on the website illustrate. It just felt good to be there. We stayed in The Kite, which may be one of the smaller rooms but is was roomy and had a lovely sitting area. The bathroom was well-appointed with luxury fixtures and great touches. The "continental breakfast" includes good granola and fresh fruit -- again in a lovely setting. Had a cocktail each night in the bar. The whole environment is soothing and has a great vibe. Here's the warm part - the staff. The bartenders gave us great advice on where to eat and Lerin, one of the managers I believe, was exceptionally helpful suggesting some outings. We are so glad we went to Point Park! I am already thinking about returning, and I live on the West Coast!
