This is a very quiet cozy home away from home!! Doug and Simon were absolutely amazing... They took very good care of us... Even after leaving... They notified us of leaving some items behind (one of which was the additional rental car key)... But they were kind enough to bring it to the airport and drop the key off... Now THAT is hospitality!! The rooms were nice... And the TVs are top notch!! I'm so glad Google didn't let me down in finding this adorable affordable cozy little place to stay!! MY Husband and I thank you so much!! Again - Thank you Doug Simon and the beautiful blue eyed Jack for being wonderful host!! You all were amazing!! Thanks Again one last time for EVERYTHING!! You guys are the BEST!!

Great place, specially if you are flying from Newark and need to sleep close by. Douglas was a great host, and we had nice conversations with him and other guests, you will feel like home if not better, the place is clean and organized. You have everything you need on the kitchen for cooking. Courtesy beverages and candies. The backyard is also great to hangout and chill. Recommended!

Out of 5 stars? definitely 6 stars. These hosts were awesome from my first contact and booking, including special circumstances that arose. On arrival and meeting Douglas and Simon, I found two young professionals who were ideally suited for the hospitality industry! They made me (and my service dog) welcome, genuinely seem to enjoy meeting new people, and, can no doubt connect really well with all types of guests. It is a great option for those passing through Newark Intl Airport, or interested in being close to Manhattan. The house is lovely and as shown in the photos; the block is a lovely residential area. Their place 200% deserves the awesome reviews that it has gotten online.

Felt like I was at home the entire time! This place has a full kitchen, living room and dining spaces. It is very cozy and has ample space to hang out/lounge around. I will be staying here next time I am in NJ. The location is great and close to Newark airport. Big thanks to our host for making our stay so wonderful!

What more is there to say about this place other than a five star rating? I needed a place to stay for a month, and I couldn’t have asked for a better accommodation than this one. The hosts were outstanding, the rooms clean, the amenities second to none. If you’re in the area for a night or a month, you definitely need to stay at LayoverBnb. Top class establishment, top class people!!

We had a wonderful stay! The host was so hospitable, and the accommodations were beautiful. The room we booked had an amazing bathtub that made a very long day of traveling so much better. Couldn’t say enough good things about this place. Highly recommend!

Short Review: It's like staying at your friends house who keeps everything clean, feeds you, is polite and nice. It is 35 mins from NYC - 15 from Newark airport and has tons of places to eat near by. I don't normally do reviews, but these people were great. My friend and I stayed here in April 2019. One of the upsides to the trip was this BNB that felt like a relatives home who accommodates just to you. We arrived and the man who greeted us was nothing but pleasant. He told us the rules and set our room up. It smelled nice, was clean. The house it self and rooms are older as most things in North Jersey /NYC area is, so if you are expecting a Malibu county home or Miami hotel, this isnt for you. Like I said, its a home in use, so it look like it but not in a trashy or dirty way. Everything is tucked away and looks nice for guest. You share a big Kitchen and living room area that people can use, food is supplied in the morning and even soft drinks. Tea and Coffee every morning! The people running it are very nice, they will talk to you and work with you. We asked for a TV upon booking, the TV broke before we got there, we said its fine no TV but he insisted to get us a TV and we had a TV within 24 hours. The only issue was parking, it is tight at times but there is extra space on the street. Great stay
