So we LOVED it here. 5/5. We are seasoned travellers that have been over the world.|We are from Toronto. We spent 3 days here and I hope to be back soon!|We stayed at this hotel for three days and absolutely loved it. The pool was amazing, with clean bathrooms and very comfortable loungers. The pool bar staff were attentive, kind, and friendly, and I loved that it was the same staff each day—it made the experience feel welcoming and personal.||Pool- The drinks were fantastic, and the food was outstanding—especially the coconut shrimp. Honestly, this hotel had some of the best food I’ve ever had at a resort. We even ordered the same dishes more than once because they were that good.||Our room was very clean, with extremely comfortable beds, a spotless bathroom, and a great shower. The coffee shop in the lobby served delicious coffee and breakfast, and the staff there were so kind. The bar lounge servers were delightful and made amazing drinks. The fresh water available in the lobby was a nice addition and much appreciated.||The hotel also has beautiful views of the harbour, and everything you need is close by and easy to access. The beach was okay (umbrellas are an extra cost, which was fine for us).||Overall, an excellent stay with wonderful staff, great food, beautiful views, and a very comfortable room. We would definitely return.

Disappointed with my stay. Upon arrival the front desk was very standoffish and didn’t greet me. The vibe was "why are you here and what do you want". I didn’t get the hot cookies or the drink tickets or wasn’t offered any water. Meanwhile the person he checked in right after he offered all those things. Luckily when I went to get the keys to my room a new person was on staff and was much nicer and took care of me but it would have been nice to have water and drink tickets while I waiting the 4 hrs for my room to be ready. Also, during our 3 night stays our room didn’t get serviced like it was suppose to and the air conditioning made the weirdest noises which made it very hard to sleep. By the end of our trip The trash cans are overflowing, soap was out and when we requested more it never came. We needed new towels/water and our room just needed to be serviced and it wasn’t. The bell boy wasn’t happy to be doing his job and it was pretty apparent. I just feel like the overall vibe of the staff was we don’t want to be here and the guests are a burden. I liked the location but there are plenty of hotels around there, prob wouldn’t stay here again if I’m being honest. I left a shirt in my room and I called once I got home and the security was really hard to talk to, I just really wasn’t impressed with the staff at all.

If you pretend to yourself that your car broke down and you were forced to spend a lot of money for a roadside motel, you might feel slightly better about the $$ you paid to stay at this aging, gloomy Hilton. ||Now, if I could give Bahia Mar five stars based on its employees, I would. In particular Lisa at reception tried her best to be very helpful.||Upon arrival, our room (805) smelled so bad that I actually just turned around and walked out to request a new room. I assumed we had been put in the older part of the hotel that other reviewers said should be condemned - but no, we were assured, this rank depressing dark carpeted room was in the new tower! After some annoying back and forth with one receptionist who kept offering to have someone "refresh" the room (it already smelled like someone had febreezed over decades of smoke and must) Lisa was able to get us a different room. So like I said, she was great and we appreciate the effort to do something to alleviate the situation. And on paper the new room was even an upgrade - on a higher floor. But it was also pretty bad. We kept the balcony door open all night, which alleviated the smell for the first two days and then I guess we got used to it. Also the toilet doesn't flush well. ||Some pros: the hotel is right across from the beach and the pool is nice. And like I said, nice staff.

Overall the hotel is good. With a few exceptions. The water was a total crap shoot. The shower in our room had a knob that spun 360 degrees so good luck finding the right spot. Even when you did it would go from scalding hot to ice cold with changes in pressure. It was not just our room, my parents were on a different floor and experienced the same. Showering was an adventure. My parents wanted the room made up midday and finally around 5pm an attendant came. My room never saw a housekeeper at all. That department seemed understaffed. The pool was terrific and the beach access was great. Customer service was average. It would be great if the coffee shop opened earlier than 7. Starbucks down the street opens at 7 as well, so for an early bird I recommend hopping in the shower to get that morning jolt!

I stayed at Bahia Mar from Tuesday to Thursday for a work trip, and from the moment I pulled up, the experience was absolutely outstanding. The staff immediately made me feel like a VIP, opening my car door, grabbing my luggage, welcoming me with big, friendly smiles, and escorting my bags all the way to check-in. I was warmly welcomed again upon arrival at the front desk, which really set the tone for the entire stay.|The front desk staff was incredible, so friendly, personable, and genuinely kind. While checking me in, we had a great conversation and joked around with me, which instantly made me feel comfortable and valued after a long day of travel.|The staff who helped set up our meals were just as wonderful. We had great conversations with them, and they went above and beyond by accommodating our schedule and even setting up our snack and lunch breaks early, which was such a thoughtful and appreciated touch.|My hotel room was spotless, warm, and incredibly inviting, exactly what you hope for when traveling for work! The team also provided excellent recommendations for local restaurants and bars, which helped make the trip even more enjoyable. And the connecting bridge to the beach made access incredibly easy and convenient.|It truly felt like a team effort, and every staff member I encountered played a part in making this such a memorable stay.|Overall, this was an amazing experience from start to finish. Bahia Mar truly excels in hospitality, and every staff member I encountered made a lasting impression. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and can’t wait to return!

I have stayed here many times, but it has been a few years since my last stay. I do not know how long Hilton / Double Tress has owned the property, but it is very poorly managed. First, let me say they keep the lobby and restaurants in good shape physically. It is clean. But that is the start and end of the compliments. The service is horrible, the staff appears to know nothing. They advertise a roof top cafe -- just try to find a staffer who knows where it is. We never found it. The front desk never answers the phone, the drink and ice machines on most floors don't work. (A staffer told us that they were owned by an outside company that they had no control over). There was no room service, no concierge, and most of the staff struggled to speak English. What sounded like a booted foot kicked on our door at 8AM and wanted to clean the room. She seemed to not know either the English or Spanish words for, "No. Please come back later." There appear to be no amenities and those that do exist treat you as a potential cheat, out to steal hotel pool towels. This used to be a top-notch hotel, with friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable staff. Not any more/ I wouldn't stay there again (we checked out after a day) if they paid me $700 night rather than the reverse. Our stay was worth a hundred bucks, max. Do yourself a favor. Find a new, clean Motel 6 and stay there. Same experience for $600 less. Travis McGee would move, for those who remember that character.

I had a pretty terrible and frustrating experience here this past weekend. As I had co-workers staying at a Westin hotel close by, I chose to honor my allegiance to Hilton and stay here. You would think they would honor you back and give you a nice room, but that was not the case. First, they gave me a room across the courtyard in the much older building. I got into the room (205) to start, and the room smelled extremely musty. I noticed that the vent in the ceiling was completely disgusting and filthy (pictured). I requested a room change immediately. They switched me to a different room and it was the same experience. Dirty ceiling vent, dirty surfaces, and blood stains on the pillow cases! (Pictured). I didn’t have the energy to switch rooms again so I dealt with it for a night. On top of that, I paid additional for self-parking, which they said my room key would activate the gate to let me in an out. Every single time I went to the gate to drive through the key card would not work and the gate wouldn’t move. I went to the front desk multiple times to try and fix this, which they attempted to, but it still never worked. I stayed 1 night and was probably there for 10 hours total, and made 6 trips to the front desk with different issues. It was an inconvenient stay to say the least and would not recommend this place to anybody!
