This Bed and Breakfast was what I was hoping for. Diane was a very nice, gracious host who made our stay welcoming and comfortable. The Lilac Room was perfect for our needs and my daughter and I loved it; the attached sitting room with refrigerator and microwave were a plus and it was great spending time on the the accessible deck/ balcony.|The breakfasts were good and Diane was very accommodating. The visitors were friendly and nice to chat with.|I enjoyed the location, easy access to where we needed to go, and the free parking was hidden from public view; it made me more comfortable and was safe. Overall, I will stay here again, I loved it.|
My son and I stayed here for attending a convention at the Lansing Center, and it was better than I could have hoped for. The home was decorated like a cozy museum with delightful displays that were hard to walk past without studying them. Our beds were very comfortable and we had a nice big bathroom to ourselves. She cooked a wonderful breakfast and made sure it fit our food requirements (vegetarian and keto - not easy to do). The Lansing Center was within walking distance so we didn't have to pay parking fees either. And Diane and her adorable dog (Teddy Bear) were so warm and welcoming. I just loved staying here and plan to come back with my husband for a date night. The picture is of the table set for breakfast.
What a welcome respite the Cozy Koi is! I can't remember how many times I've visited, but the owner, Diane, remains wonderfully hospitable and a most welcoming hostess. I arrived the night a nearby tornado took out her historic oak tree. Rather than ignoring me, she set aside that act of God occurrence and focused on preparing one of the best breakfast's I've ever had. The other couple visiting had a dietary restriction that she effortlessly accommodated and I assure you no one left hungry, or wanting, of her delicious home made zucchini bread. Additionally, Diane was helpful in recommending Lansing attractions to include on my visit. As a Lansing Ambassador, Diane is a Jill of all trades: a divine proprietress, Lansing aficionado, culinary expert and Realtor extraordinaire. You'll be in more than capable hands.
Diane is a lovely host, offered great dining recommendations and served a delicious breakfast. The home, however, was not to our liking. There is a lot of clutter throughout, such that the living room of the home was not usable by guests, and our room was too cluttered with antiques/nick knacks to be able to place our items on any surfaces- it was too cluttered to be relaxing and surely there is not enough time in the day to dust all of the hundreds (thousands?) of nick knacks in the room or throughout the house . The kitchen disarray, including dirty dishes left in the sink, was disconcerting. There are no locks on the doors to each guest room, and Diane entered our room when we were away from the house to retrieve our registration form. For these reasons, despite the lovely innkeeper and outdoor area (koi pond), we would not stay here again.
The rooms are gorgeously decorated, with antiques, pillows, and quilts. Diane is a gracious and attentive host. Breakfast was delicious. It's reasonably priced, especially considering the value for the money. My wife and I highly recommend this place.
Surprisingly good! From the outside you wouldn’t be able to imagine the inside deco and the experience you will have inside. The innkeeper Diana is very charming and quickly engaged into enjoyable conversations about Lansing, pets, plants etc. We were " hotel people" but this experience changed our view about B&Bs. The breakfast was superb and truly "home made". We are planning the next visit already!
My wife and I canceled our hotel room when a room became available here, and we are so glad that we did! The proprietor, Diane, is very attentive and takes great care of her guests. Off-street parking and a great breakfast! Also, we were able to walk to a festival from here.
