This weekend our family of 7 stayed there and the service was excellent. What made our experience even more memorable and guaranteed that we will return was the extra effort and customer service offered by the young man who was working the breakfast buffet area, Kethan. We watched him do the work of 3-4 people with a smile on his face and lightening inside of his shoes as he zipped back and forth to every station. His attitude brightened up the area radiating pure joy and concern for meeting our needs. His work ethic and attention to detail were so impeccable I had to express my appreciate to the front desk staff yesterday morning.

Very quiet and peaceful Residence, at a good rate with plenty of snacks and drinks at the front desk. This location is also near the Drago's "for locals" in Metarie. If you ask locals in NOLA who has the best oysters you will be consistently told to go to the metairie Drago's. It's worth it! This is one of my favorite Residence I've stayed at, mostly because of how peaceful it is. NOLA can be extremely loud and chaotic at times, so if you need a little oasis of calm I highly suggest this spot. Staff were also very nice and professional and this location is extremely safe, if a bit far from the french quarter.

Certainly not the prettiest location or very walkable at all, but this place works depending on what you’re looking for. We are going to a wedding in Metairie so it is perfect for that. They have ample parking on premises, rooms are comfortable and spacious, gym is good for a hotel gym, everything is clean and the premises are tidy. Even the complimentary breakfast is better than expected. I would consider staying here again next time we are looking to be in Metairie.

** BED BUGS** ALERT! Also Martha Bullock, the Manager assistance of this location, and Eric are not trained to provide Marriott’s high service standards. On my first night, my room filled with smoke after I turned on the heater I almost passed out. It was midnight when I called for help, and instead of providing assistance, they only sent me a new room key and expected me to move all my belongings to a different room by myself, with no cart and no help from staff. When I requested a refund for the first night of my three-night stay, Eric told me that Martha, the GM, would take care of it. However, when I approached them at check-out, I was met with a dismissive, low-level attitude and was told that since I did not require medical assistance, they would not refund the night despite the inconvenience and serious safety risk. This location clearly does not care about guest safety or well-being. Avoid this hotel at all costs. I will also be reporting this incident to the fire department due to their lack of concern regarding guest safety. The building even have a post stating they’re under construction. Also the cleaning on stove and overall is not being done. No detergent to wash dishes and dishes at the counter at not properly cleaned.Check photos for the bug bites marks in my body!

My family enjoyed a wonderful stay over a long weekend. The location was perfect for touring and visiting family Uptown and excursions near the Swamps! The hotel amenities were great for our multigenerational group; kids/teens had space to spread out and enjoyed the pool, basketball court, games, and gym. The lobby was undergoing renovation but they were as accommodating as ever and breakfast was fantastic.

The pool has never been swimmable. It’s always been dirty with trash on the bottom of tool most visits. I’ve been going here for over a year during renovations. The new fire pit doesn’t work and when I ask, it’s broken. The outdoor grill knobs are still the same broken ones since a year ago. The breakfast attends are always letting things run out from plates to food. My kids and I always have to ask for everything we need. I don’t want to go back and hate that feeling from a Marriott.

Overall great room and location, but their service staff is less than desired. Had a clogged drain that was supposed to take 5 minutes for them to come up and out to 30 minutes. Then for breakfast they had biscuits and gravy, but ran out of gravy. Talked to 1 lady who said it would be out in a minute but then 15 minutes later another guy asked and another lady said there was no more and gave him the little bit left despite me waiting. Wasted time waiting for no reason. Not even a sorry or anything.
