We recently held my brother’s groom’s dinner and welcome reception at The Depot, and I cannot recommend them enough! The historical charm of the venue provided such a stunning backdrop for our events. The catering was absolutely remarkable—our guests are still raving about how delicious the food was. What truly set the experience apart was the staff. They were professional, attentive, and made sure every detail was handled flawlessly, which took so much stress off our family. Additionally, having our room block here was completely effortless. It was so convenient to have two properties (The Renaissance and Residence Inn) under one roof, giving our guests great options while keeping everyone together. Thank you for making my brother's wedding weekend so special!

We stayed here for my daughter's wedding, which was close by at Nicollet Island Pavilion. The self park was great, as there were outside surface spaces secured by a keycard as well as a a garage. The room was a decent size for a city hotel, very clean and nice. It was very quiet at night. We enjoyed the lobby bar at night. The location is great, a nice walk over the Mississippi to explore St. Anthony Main and Northeast or a short walk more into downtown.

I left this a 5 star review...although I never was able to stay at the hotel. The 5 stars are for the Manager, Alex Bennett. He was very responsive to my calls, was kind, and interested in helping me resolve my issue with a third party travel agent. I appreciate his attentiveness with my issue, as well as giving me his email in which to remain in contact. It was a pleasure to work with him. Thank you, Alex. Jan Dudley

Rooms were great. The employees are really nice. The bar is happening and the whole hotel is beautiful. The pool is small but well kept. The bathroom in the rooms do not have a lock to the barn door. There is also a beautiful glazed window to block feom anyone seeing in, but at the bottom there is about 12" of space that is just glass. So, not a lot of privacy.

We stayed just one night to celebrate our anniversary. I've been to the hotel for multiple events but never stayed overnight. Because the event and lobby space is so nice, I've always wanted to. I was not disappointed. The rooms were comfortable with an elegant, masculine design and color scheme. Staff provided friendly service and made us feel welcome. The breakfast we had was quite tasty. I have several free Bonvoy hotel nights and plan to use them at this location even without a special occasion.

I recently stayed at this location for a conference. First off the staff was very kind. Everyone I encountered was friendly and accommodating. The issue I have is with the cleanliness of this hotel. The first evening while in the bar there was a mouse running around. Not encouraging but what was worse was my room. I got in late but when I took a peek in the shower it was dirty. Not oops they left a few hairs dirty but actually grit in the tub like someone had bathed a dirty dog and didn’t rinse the dirt after. The door to the closet wouldn’t shut, the door to the cabinet with the refrigerator wouldn’t open without rubbing on the carpet and the wooden wall protector was literally falling out of the wall. To top it off the battery to the door locked stopped working the second day necessitating a visit from maintenance. Again the staff was kind and handled all the issues but I expect more from a Marriott property.

Great staff and rooms. The only place I stay when in Minneapolis. It’s almost like three hotels in one. Fun to stay in historic suites. It also has a very nice smell when you walk in.
