The Midtown Manor

I commented positively previously but...I had to cancel as on-line information originally said pets were ok- but after booking it became apparent they weren't. I was assured I would have the housekeeping fee reimbursed, afterall I did not stay. but alas 😔 that has not been so.

Although I ultimately didn't stay- had to cancel due to misunderstanding about pets. I would have found the location perfect as I was assisting a friend at Abbot Northwestern and Howard was great at communication!

*This* is "Midtown Manor." Yes, the front door is missing. (You enter through the back.) The apartment on the first floor is nice enough inside with good beds, but the furniture is sparse, and there are only AC units in the bedroom, so you have to set up a fan with the bedroom doors open to cool the rest. Kitchen was nice. Lots of construction in the neighborhood while we were there, and the grounds outside are dirty. Very convenient to the hospitals nearby. Also the Swedish Institute and Global Market were neighborhood highlights. Some of these other reviews seem sus (there is no "front desk" for instance), so knocking off a star for that. 50% payment was required to hold the reservation. You're required to wash the towels before you depart. Not coming back.

We stayed for 2 nights and had a great experience. The house was clean and spacious. The kitchen was well prepared, with coffee, which was very good, and other food supplies that you can use. The beds were comfortable and large. Howard was very helpful, communicated well and was very accommodating. Also there is an Aldi close by where we bought food to prepare during our stay.

We were in the 2nd floor apartment in the house. As everyone else has commented, the place was sparkling clean! The nights were quiet and we rested really well in great beds. The location is easy access to downtown and the Minneapolis Institute of Art (which is amazing!) We fixed several meals in the apartment and had all we needed in the kitchen to do so. Check-in was easy. Instructions for check-out were helpful and simple. Overall, it was a quiet comfy stay!

The owners were very helpful and very on top of the check in and check out procedures. The house was clean and very comfortable with easy access parking. House was equipped with all the necessities for cooking you own meals. The location could not be better. No matter what activity we wanted to do we were never more than 10-15 minutes away. The price was also very reasonable. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Minneapolis.

This place was perfect for our stay. Huge bedrooms with large comfy beds in all. Great common spaces, very clean/well kept and fabulous location! Wonderful-responsive host!! Would definitely book again!
