Extended Stay America Select Suites- Chicago - Naperville - West

Good location- near tollway, shopping and restaurants. Friendly front desk staff. Fairly quiet. These are the only good things I can come up with. The hotel is run down with matted carpet and sorely needed paint throughout. The room itself had a bad odor when you walked it. Carpet was badly matted and disgusting looking. The walls had that glossy paint with a number of scuff marks. Lighting was old fashioned and dingy. The inside kitchen cabinets were dirty. You had to bring your own pots and pans, dishes, no coffee maker etc. the kitchen faucet was constantly dripping and the electric outlet in the kitchen area did not work I complained about that and they said they would send maintenance to fix it- they never came This was probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and would never go back. Just an honest review from me

Stay here. Tara and Roxanne are very nice and accommodating. I felt very safe. Walls are sound proof to where you really don't hear your neighbors much. It might be just a little bit, but you can get good sleep.

This was a non smoking facility, but daily I experienced smoke entering into my room. And I made staff aware but it seems as though they were unable to stop that from happening. Everything seemed to be falling apart. The elevator was very unstable and smelled like smoke the trolly was broken. The refrigerator in the room had a foul smell and the toilet constantly overflowed. There was also trash left in the hallway and notices put under the door. This property is not well maintained and seemed inhabitable for an extended stay. I was also charged for a late fee. But when I went downstairs to pay the front desk was closed off and no one was available for pymt and there was a heavy smoke smell in the lobby area. And everything was charged additional fees, there was a fee for the pot and pan, towels and room service.

Honestly overall it’s a really good place. A lot of the residents here live here full time- a lot of family’s and animals, honestly feels like an apartment complex just smaller. The management and all workers are super sweet, never have any issues with them or the family’s living here. Everyone kinda comes together at the end of the day and helps each other out! It’s a little community people didn’t know was even there, never had any issues with bugs or excessive noise eaither. If you’re looking for an extended stay to make a temporary home this would be the place for your family. Right off 59 next to the Starbucks!! Couldn’t be any better.

Derek at the front desk was super helpful and pleasant to talk with. Even followed up with a phone call making sure everything was okay in our room. Really appreciated the customer service!

DO NOT stay here! The carpet is torn and extremely stained! You have to remove your own trash or be fined. No hair dryer available, door handle into the rear of the building is broken. All of the building is in disrepair except for the front reception area. Wifi, additional towels available for extra charge. Their web photos are very very deceiving!!

To be continued Ok. I thought this was my favorite place to stay here in IL. I stayed here now 3 times off and on. Everytime something happens missing in my room. They took all of my brand new groceries wihile I’m gone handling business. This last time and before that they took a power bar strip electric plug in for wall powered things like for tvs phones etc. and they say the same thing every time! We can let the manager know!!!!!!!! My room is paid for and they took all my stuff when I was not here !!!!!!!!!!! To answer to your fixing of the matter,, In a late in advance check out to see if I have to stay another day or not was called in advance. #1 #2 After paying for another day immediately professional protocol procedure ran by fortune 500 to 1000 companies the management team would immediately take the list for late checkout and go to each floor where the maid service is to let the maid service know that this room and or customer will be staying for another day! You may clean the room but do not touch his / or her things. # 3 The reimbursement for this debacle no where near comes close to what was taken, I have every receipt to prove that fact. And will add if necessary to prove the fact that this is a dropped ball that should never happen! Unless everyone is in agreement on it! Facts are facts!!!! Communicated clearly and correctly in order this will never happen in any situation. Terrible leadership!!!!!!!
