Motel 6 Naperville, IL

Stayed at Motel 6 Naperville Oct 25–30. After paying to extend my stay, staff canceled my reservation, refunded only the canceled night, and coerced me into withdrawing my complaint by threatening to leave me on the street in the cold. Susan even put her hands on me without consent. ||||Most seriously, I sustained a needle prick injury on their property that required an ER visit. Motel 6 is liable. Their "complimentary" night was not goodwill — it was manipulation. ||||I am pressing charges and have retained legal counsel in Naperville. Positive: The staff was nice, until I called on Sunday realizing I left my rechargeable battery pack that goes to my portable nebulizer Negative: I accidentally left my rechargeable battery pack in the room. I called the next evening, and stated it was not found, and to buy a new one. This one is not cheap, it goes to my portable nebulizer. Which i did have to recharge during my stay

Had a great experience. The Short Puerto Rican girl. Think her name was Ashley. Was so friendly and helpful. Most polite person I've met at a motel 6. Really made my stay.

The plumbing in every room that I’m put in is horrible but the service is great. A lot of the rooms smell bad like animal because it’s a pet friendly motel so just check your room first if you have a sensitive nose. I paid for a week and had to move rooms the first day because the toilet stopped working then in my new room the sink leaks into the floor so I can’t use it and I can’t move again right now because I have to work 🙁 Minimal roaches if you don’t leave food out. Overall I’d stay again because it’s the best price for the area and I am homeless right now. Staff is amazing so they will try to accommodate your needs as they arise. Wifi doesn’t work with laptops and kicks you off every half hour so bring your own.

Do not come here. Better off sleeping on the street. Or at Best Western Oswego. Very good hotel there. This one is not great. We booked a room, and found a URINE stain on our mattress, but could not see it at first. Staff said they "couldn't smell anything". When staff opened the window to let natural lighting in, and I saw a yellow stain immediately. Housekeeping came in minutes later, doesn't even bother to smell it, looks DIRECTLY at the stain MY PARTNER LAID OVER, and says "don't smell anything". They said they could not do anything beyond providing an air freshener and new sheets. Unacceptable. We are asked to wait for the General Manager, so we do. General Manager comes in, asks to inspect the room as we are taking our luggage out(we already booked a room elsewhere, at a REAL hotel). We come back in, and the manager immediately offers a room replacement. What happened to inspection? She speaks in a condescending tone towards me, and asks about the HDMI cable being disconnected from their TV. I say that was me. I did not tell her but I connected my PS5 temporarily. She harped on "the TV is actually hotel property", as if I took something. Are we not allowed to use the TV!? She didn't even address the question of a refund BEFORE HARPING OVER A TINY FLAT SCREEN WITH POOR AUDIO QUALITY. I then told her we would go to a hotel that had fridges(no fridges here, one communal microwave) to hold my medical stuff. And she offered to put MY medicine in THEIR fridge? HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL. She continues to talk to us in a condescending tone, and says she cannot issue a refund, as we already "used the room". Yeah, someone else used the room. AS THEIR PERSONAL TOILET. I calmly told her that I would just dispute the charge with my bank, and she gave me a dirty look. I lied to her and said I would be leaving a positive review, but this place did not earn that. I will say thank you to the lady that was working with the manager for trying to accommodate us at the start and remaining nice despite conflict. But everyone else has done horribly and this place should not be a hotel. It should be shut down. Their was loud banging in the room over, and the hallways were filthy. Such a dismissive "manager". Try "managing" your emotions before providing service to those unfortunate enough to book with you!
