Royal Street Inn & R Bar

I never have a bad time when I stumble in this place. I always tend to meet somebody from Chicago I'm definitely someone friendly from New Orleans. This place is definitely a must if you're looking to get away from all the hullabaloo. They're also dog friendly on the patio.

Music was great but I sat at the Bar for 45 minutes to be served and was skipped over about 5 times. Just wanted to get a drink for me and my girlfriend. Was frustrating, as I I’ve worked in the Restaurant industry for 8 years, I get how it can be busy. But when you actively ignore me with my card out and serve 5 people+ who came up after me, I can’t help but leave a bad review. There were 3 bartenders and they made eye contact with me for 45 minutes. Can’t say I’ll recommend this place again. It’s cute but not sure why I wasn’t serviced.

Stopped here a few times for drinks enroute to Frenchman. Felt like a local dive bar with extensive beer menu at reasonable prices. Staff were friendly and chatty as were the locals drinking here. Would definitely visit again

Fav place we've stayed in Nola!! Rates are super reasonable for the area and accommodations. PRIME location if you're more into the Frenchman scene than Bourbon. Room was exactly as pictured, very clean, comfy bed & pillows, shower had great water pressure, and the overall vibe/feel was perfect! They don't have an actual "front desk", you just check-in at the bar downstairs (R Bar). Staff was of course very welcoming and friendly and they checked in to make sure our stay running smoothly. *Fun fact: the bar downstairs was used as the "Tru Tone" in NCIS: NOLA!

This review is for the bar only, which is a great dive bar with super helpful and polite staff, they absolutely made sure our drinks stayed filled and then got us to go cups when we were done enjoying the inside of the bar. If you like dive bars and cheap strong drinks, I highly recommend this spot!

Chris G was funny, personable and nice. Very welcoming for pets, which is wonderful. We just had drinks, but still had a good time.

New discovery for me in the French Quarter, and it instantly became one of my favorite bars in New Orleans: Chill, hip vibe; great lighting, music, and decor; good drinks at good prices; lively and vibrant while not being overcrowded or chaotic. What's not to like??
