Holiday Inn Express & Suites Nearest Universal Orlando by IHG

The Staff and GM were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was very nice and clean. House keeping was on point. The Breakfast was very good and had a wide variety of options each morning. It’s extremely close to the Parks with a complimentary shuttle that has several different drop off and pick up times. I highly recommend it.

Staying at this Hotel was an absolute delight! The moment I stepped in, the warm welcome from the staff made me feel at home. My room was spotless, with a cozy bed and modern amenities. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options. The hotel's location is also a big plus, with easy access to major attractions. I highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to return on my next trip!

gave 2 stars overall. location is great right across the street from universal, $7 lift was pretty good. shuttle to the park was good and convenient but last shuttle back is 8pm- why when island of adventure closes at 11pm and why have 8pm when Rock the Universe could place you back by 1am. Lift or Uber is essential at that point due to another 2 miles walking after 15000 steps from the park all day. two stars due to the flithy room, double beds are like Full size so they saw sleeps 4, more like 2. floors were so gross, a wet wash cloth cleaned a spot with just water so you know they dont mop. the bathroom baseboard and water pipes were covered in dust like the back of a water heater closet. simple to correct and gross not even dusting is happening at this hotel. we will not stay here again.

Holiday Inn Express located within a mile of the Universal City Walk, which connects Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. Standard Holiday Inn Express, mostly as expected. Looks slightly worn compared to some newer locations, but works fine for a couple days at the parks. Includes the typical Holiday Inn Express breakfast. I am able to find a few healthy and minimally processed items. (There are plenty of heavily processed selections). The ladies working in the dining area keep things nice and tidy. The hotel offers a shuttle to the parks, but the hours are limited and we ended up taking an Uber, which cost less than $10 each way. They also have "Universal" desk/ sales on site- but the hours are limited. I didn't appreciate a phone call that I got from the hotel a few hours before my arrival demanding an updated credit card payment. They said my credit card on file expired. When I said I didn't have time to provide it over the phone (it's also in my online Holiday Inn express account) they said they would cancel the reservation, thereby forcing me to comply. That definitely frustrated me. I do like that they have Dove products in the bathrooms. The bathroom sink was in the bedroom area rather than in the bathroom- but it was ok. The room was reasonably clean, but not sparkling clean.

Holiday Inn Express is a nice place overall, quiet, clean and friendly with kids. I believe I’ve seen people with pets but I’m not sure if you can stay with pets there. They have a nice size poll, coffee/ tea, hot chocolate available 24/7. Front desk employees are friendly.

Holiday Inn has always been a great choice to stay in for our getaways. This hotel was no exception. Excellent location to Universal literally minutes away!!! We took an Uber as it was just easier for me and not costly; as I don't ride well in buses. The shuttle system is very easy though,you can make a reservation 2 days ahead. The staff (Tiffany)is amazing-soooo friendly and welcoming!!! The lobby also has refreshments and reasonably priced snacks. The breakfast is quite the spread-there is plenty for every type of diet. I have special needs and found plenty which was a pleasant surprise. I was really very taken with the room. I usually get a double queen-these were double beds. I am reformed 🙂 this room was perfect!!! The shower was amazing-an actual shower!!! Hallelujah-a rarity now a days unless you book a suite!!! The beds were perfect-linens ,pillows clean and perfect firmness. Refrigerator,microwave,coffeemaker-selection was fantastic. Love that they use Dove products as I am very allergic so that is a plus! AC system perfect. Plenty of closet/dresser space. Lighting/desk great as well. We were by the elevators as requested and it was perfect. Elevators are in an alcove so your room is shielded from the sound. The housekeeping staff was pleasant and accommodating!!! My recommendation don't hesitate to stay! Parking is free and plenty available-area is safe too!!!

I just finished a four night stay here this past weekend while visiting universal studios and I had to leave a good review. Our stay here was honestly great! The staff at the front desk were always friendly and willing to help and answer questions. We had several interactions with them and they were kind, smiling, making jokes with us, and happy to help in any way they could. The location is great if you’re going to universal studios especially with the complimentary shuttle that was easy to reserve even with the mobility scooter I use (the shuttle drivers were super nice too!). The rooms were cleaned every day including making up the bed and providing fresh towels. I only take away one star because some places like the shower had some of those dirty spots in cracks that have been there so long they can’t even be cleaned anymore which is not very cleanly and kind of gross. Some updates there would be nice if they maybe replaced the shower doors or something so there wasn’t old dirt clinging that is unhygienic. It wasn’t too noticeable overall though and we generally did love the room (we had a king room) with our spacious bed and enough space for our purposes. Loved it! I can’t speak to breakfast as it was included but we never ended up going as we don’t usually eat breakfast. A pleasant stay that was more than I had anticipated and I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others! Thank you to the front desk team for being so great!
