I recently stayed at Loews Royal Pacific at Universal and overall the hotel was absolutely incredible. The atmosphere is beautiful, the rooms are very comfortable, the pool area is amazing, and the location is unbeatable if you’re visiting Universal parks. The staff was kind and professional, and the whole experience felt very premium. The only downside during my stay was that there were several work conventions happening at the hotel, so it was very crowded with business groups. It changed the vibe a little bit, especially in common areas. What bothered me the most, however, was the package policy. I didn’t know in advance that the hotel does not directly handle guest deliveries (like Amazon or grocery orders). Instead, they use a third-party service called Encore, which charges per package — and the fees are extremely high. For 8 medium-sized packages, I ended up paying nearly $100 in fees. I truly wish this had been clearly communicated at the time of booking, because ordering items to your hotel is very common, especially for travelers. Knowing this in advance would have helped me plan differently. Aside from that, the hotel itself is fantastic and I would still recommend it — just be aware of the delivery policy before sending any packages.
This hotel is much too expensive without benefits. The hotel is visibly old and not very good. The price of the rooms is not even close to worth the price. Our room smelled a lot of cleaning fluid, which cant be healthy to breathe into your lungs. The door to the room does not insulate sound, so you can hear people all night walking and talking in the hallway outside. The beds are fine. I don't like bathrooms where the washing sink area does not have a door, it feels like a cheap motel. The rooms are not very big. Parking is 38 dollars, also a rip-off. The hotel is expensive partly because they give you a fast pass for Universal Studios... but it only can be used for the first 2 universal studios theme parks, not valid for the new EPIC park. You will only need a maximum 1 day at the first 2 parks. And when we went in October the first 2 parks didn't even need any fast pass at all, because they are much less popular now than EPIC. If you get an express pass for EPIC then it will cost around 100 dollars more to get a second day of express pass for the first 2 theme parks. It makes much more sense to stay at a better, newer and much cheaper hotel and purchase EPIC plus first 2 theme parks express passes. The best thing about the hotel was the service. But good service is also available elsewhere.
Amazing resort with amazing perks. This is one of those that you dont want to give all the details because you want to keep the secrets to make sure they are available for you next time!!! The price of food and drinks at the resort is astronomical, so my advice is bring your own to your room. The pools are great, entertainment great and the price you pay if you utilize the fast passes is worth it. We can't wait to go back.
Very beautiful. Can take a boat to City Walk/theme parks. Stay here includes unlimited express in the parks which was amazing! Our mini fridge wasnt getting cold so i called downstairs and seriously like 5 minutes later a man was at the door with a new one. The valet guys are annoying though. My husband would drop us off at the door and then park the car.... the valets like all run up to the car and he would have to tell them no. Very pretty and nicely cared for. Would definitely stay again.
We had an amazing stay at Royal Pacific. My family of five were here for one night and we loved the unlimited express passes to Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios. The room was spacious enough to fit a rollaway bed and very clean as well. The staff even brought up a microwave for us upon request and it was delivered within 10 minutes of us, asking for it we did not explore much of the hotel as we had limited time and spent it most at the parks, but what we did see were beautiful and well thought out. We appreciate that it was walking distance to adventure filled parks. We will definitely stay here again
We had a great experience at the Royal Pacific. The rooms were very comfortable and clean and our 11 year old loved the pool area. The serving staff by the pool will make sure you are taken care of if you'd like a drink or food as well. There are plenty of dining options here and it's a short walk or boat ride to City Walk and the 2 main parks. This park also comes with express passes for the 2 Universal parks, which is awesome.
I wouldn't call this hotel "luxury," as many people describe it in their reviews. The rooms are good enough for American standards, but what truly sets this hotel apart is the service provided by the staff. The personnel are very responsive, knowledgeable, and everything runs smoothly like clockwork, from the valet parking and concierge service to the restaurants. I can't say the price for this hotel is justified, as you can probably find significantly more affordable hotels in Orlando with equally decent accommodations, but you definitely won't regret staying at this particular hotel. Positive aspects of the hotel: 1) Excellent service from every department. 2) Beautiful interior. 3) The best breakfasts of all the hotels I've stayed at in the USA. 4) Walking distance to Universal Studios. 5) Unlimited express passes for all attractions. Negative aspects: 1) The bathroom and toilet doors do not have locks and do not close tightly. If you are traveling with a group, privacy may be unavailable even in the bathroom. 2) Cleaning is only done in the visible areas. If you look behind the bedside tables and dresser, you will find many traces of previous guests. 3) There are power outlets near the bed on only one side. Therefore, if you want to charge your phone or other gadgets, you will have to place them separately.
