It’s my first night here. This place exceeded my expectations. It’s very clean. I like how orderly and clean it is. I forgot to get cash to tip room service so I’ll go back out to get some. This place is a hidden gem. The lazy river was heated and nice water temps were great. Would have liked a little more heat in the hot tub. Overall…. A hidden gem. All employees at the pool were so kind and patient. I can’t believe how nice the Staff has been considering they are younger. I’m happy.

Booked through Chase Travel without prior expectations and was thoroughly impressed. I stayed here with my wife and three children, and the accommodations were ideal for a family. Our one-bedroom villa was well-equipped, featuring a full kitchen, dining area, living room, and a master suite with a full bath. Despite the cold weather during our visit, the heated indoor/outdoor pool remained fully usable and was a highlight for the kids. The location is quiet and relaxing, with plenty of activities on the property. While this is a timeshare property, I simply declined the sales pitch politely, and it was not an issue. Overall, a great experience for the whole family.

I was excited to love this place given the beautiful setting and comfortable villas, but my experience fell far short. Many amenities were under maintenance or not functioning properly, and the front desk was unhelpful and unresponsive. Basic issues like water heater reliability were ongoing, making it difficult to enjoy a comfortable stay. As someone paying annual fees, I expected better service and amenities.

The resort is very beautiful and well setup for families and children. The lazy river was not open which is normal at Hill Country Hyatt as well. There were a few problems I encountered during the stay- 1. The ice maker in refrigerator was not working and no ice bucket to get it. I was required to have someone bring up a ice bucket. 2. The water pressure was great in everything but the shower. The shower was as bad as San Francisco Grand Hyatt which is restricted by law. 3. Hot water in kitchen sink never worked and shower had to waste more water than it save to get lukewarm. 4. Construction in building 6 made entry difficult and lots of hoses blocking rooms and lots of noise. 5. Pool card to get towels and if you loose it cost $20. The many good things were- 1. Variety of activities to participate in. 2. The pool system was amazing with multiple slides. 3. The large outdoor hottub was great. 4. The wild life trail was fun and great way to get exercise. 5. Even better was to exercise was excercise room with all the latest equipment and great view of pool complex. 6. The front desk and concierge were very helpful and friendly and the timeshare sales were not overly aggressive. 7. The kitchen was full size and pre-stocked with utensils. My only issue was only frying pan was not none stick and hard to clean. Overall was a great stay with some areas needing improvement.

They seem to have had a lot of activities for kids but I didn't have any kids with me so I can't speak to those things. I know the center was closed when I was up there. The lazy river was closed down, that wasn't expected and was looking forward to it since it was on the website. The pool was fantastic, perfect temperature and clean. Several great waterslides. We did ask for a few items and had difficulty getting them. They did try 3 times to get us those items but there was a language barrier and it ended up incorrect those 3 times, by that point I didn't want to mess with it anymore and gave up. Afterwards I realized I should have just used Google translate but it was too late. Walking trails, plenty of parking, tennis, basketball etc. Lots of things to keep yourself or kids entertained. Location is not super close to major interests of the area but also not TOO far. The A.C in the room worked very well & the room was clean. We had a nice little balcony. Water pressure wasn't great in the shower. Great, fast coffee pot. They had lots of options for things that they would let you borrow & some they would supply for you if you forgot, that's a great perk. Lots of construction going on. We had trouble reaching cables on the TV to hook up our Roku. They could use better brackets that allow you some space between the TV & wall. Overall we had a nice stay.

Hubby and I had a terrific stay at Wild Oak Ranch in January of 2026. We had a one bedroom suite with a king bed, washer/dryer, huge bathroom, full kitchen, and living room. Oh, and a nice balcony too! Staff was courteous, friendly, and helpful. We enjoyed the heated pool and even went through the lazy river on the warmest day - still chilly - but earned bragging rights by taking a couple loops around. We will be back again!

We stayed at the Hyatt Vacation Club Wild Oak Ranch in San Antonio from October 11–17, 2025, and I want to share some honest feedback to help others decide if this property fits their expectations. While the setting and amenities have potential, this is not a standard Hyatt hotel experience, it’s a timeshare property, and that distinction makes a big difference.||✅ The Good||The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with options ranging from studios to two-bedroom units, and include a full kitchen, great for families or longer stays.|The pool and lazy river area is lovely, featuring a sandy zero-entry area perfect for small kids. The property also has giant outdoor games (Connect Four, Jenga, Chess, Checkers), volleyball courts, ping pong tables, jacuzzis, and a gym.||The location is convenient to SeaWorld and Aquatica, and being forced to venture off property for meals actually led us to some fantastic local BBQ and Mexican food.||❌ The Not-So-Good||If you’re expecting typical Hyatt service or elite recognition, prepare to be disappointed. I’m a Hyatt Globalist, and none of the usual benefits apply here; no suite upgrade, no late checkout, and no enhanced service. The staff confirmed that Globalist perks don’t carry over to Hyatt Vacation Club properties, which is worth knowing before booking.||Housekeeping operates on a rigid schedule (around 4 p.m. only) and will not return later if it’s inconvenient, for example, when kids are napping. Toiletries were never refilled proactively; I had to call multiple times just to get body wash, shampoo, and conditioner replenished.||The towel card system at the pool is unnecessarily cumbersome, you have to check towels in and out instead of simply grabbing what you need.||The Kids Club was closed for our entire stay, which was extremely disappointing for a family-oriented resort. Scheduled children’s activities were limited and often came with extra fees.||Although we were told the property was "sold out," it felt severely understaffed we rarely saw employees anywhere on-site.||Dining options are another weak spot. There’s only one restaurant, prices are high, and the menu is limited (their fryer was down all week, so no fries or other kid favorites). Food service by the pool is only available through a QR code, and there’s no coffee shop or grab-and-go snack option on property.||Overall||The resort itself is attractive and family-friendly in design, but it operates like an apartment complex rather than a full-service hotel. If you want a self-contained vacation and don’t expect the usual Hyatt perks or hospitality, this might suit your needs. But if you’re used to true Hyatt hotel experiences, attentive service, flexibility, and recognition, you’ll likely be disappointed.
