Ocean Lodge Santa Monica Beach Hotel

Location is great. Minutes walk away from Santa Monica pier and 3rd st promenade. The property is dated but decently maintained. Having 2 rooms is nice, but only one a/c unit leaves the other room not temperature controlled. Not the fault of the property, but there are homeless people around the property—some of them sleep just 15 feet away from your room so you can hear them cough. Attempts to call the property go unanswered and their email is full, although when you do talk to them they are friendly. Our party had a change in plans so tried to shorten our stay by 1 day but we were told we missed our chance because the property manager wasn’t there when we attempted to request the change.

Extremely close to Santa Monica so the stay was very comfortable. Staff was amazing, front desk service is kind and considerate. The custodial service also came in when I was out and cleaned everything nicely and restocked the tolietries. The air conditioning was great so you don't have to worry about the heat at all.

The rooms were good. Very clean and the bed was comfy. It’s a bit louder because it’s at a higher traffic street but it was alright. The only negative part was that you have to pay for the parking. It’s $38 per day. I find that very expensive and not alright. Normally the parking should be in the price of the rooms.

I was here to visit friends and family. I found the location top-notch with amazing walkability to the beach, pier, and promenade. The rooms are totally well appointed with super comfy beds and solid water pressure, and the parking was a little extra, but reasonable compared to other LA hotels. This was my second time staying at this hotel and obviously, I'd go back. It's no frills, but you cannot beat this location. ||Chez Jay next door is a Santa Monica institution that serves classic American Fare and a stiff martini. Not to miss if you stay here. Also, Sweet Maple across the street has a great breakfast with fun coffee drinks.||If you're coming to the area and want a great location, this is the spot.

Great little boutique hotel on the beach. It is noisy because it is right on a main street. Room was clean and well taken care of. Parking is tight if you have a large vehicle.

Room was bit small but sufficient. Location was great, bit noisy but at night mostly quiet. Good fridge, beds and shower. Room got refreshed upon request. Beautiful hummingbirds in neighbouring flower border was a plus. Recommend to park car behind border as it’s cheaper than hotel car park $17.50 rather than $33 per night.

This is an awesome little place to stay.That is squeezed into a little spot.But it works. You can't beat the location.You can throw a ball to the santa monica pier. My room was super clean, and the whole facility was just really nice.I would stay there again. I give this one a highly recommended.
