Check your invoice for unauthorized charges. We've stayed here several times. The rooms are clean but average. The location is good. Walkable to many places. The service has steadily declined over the years that we've come and stayed. In particular, the reception acts visibly annoyed when you want to check in or out or have even a basic question. Most recently, our flights were changed delaying our stay by a night. They refused to accommodate the change. Fine. What's not fine is that we received an invoice the next day with charges for meals, tips, and parking when we hadn't even stayed there. We tried to call directly 5 times. The phone would ring and ring until someone picked up the receiver and immediately slammed it down. We finally got through by calling the Hilton main call center. They reversed the fraudulent charges. When I asked how they got there in the first place, the lady immediately slammed the phone down on me. The place is average. It's clean and the location is good. The staff is generally unfriendly. Check your bill closely and plan to waste a lot of time trying to get it fixed if its wrong. One more thing....they charge you for every cup of their weak coffee. If you stay here, there's way better coffee a short walk down the street at Foxtail Coffee - Riverside Savannah.
Positive: Nothing really. It's not in a walkable location to town, the staff aren't friendly, and the room had bugs. Negative: The staff and manager lied to us consistently about the refund requests.
Nice hotel with great location — a few small misses. Our stay in Savannah and at The Bluff Hotel in Savannah was a last-minute choice and specifically after our usual suites weren’t available, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The hotel is modern, and in a great location — close to the river, shops, and restaurants. We appreciated the convenience of self-parking and how easy it was to get in and out of the city. The rate was also very reasonable for the area. The room was decent and the bathroom was recently cleaned but the sofa fabric could use a good cleaning as well as the walls (they had some stains and spots). The products were great and the Nespresso machine was a great bonus! There were a couple of drawbacks. The hotel doesn’t have an on-site fitness center or pool, which was disappointing since I like to work out while traveling. They do offer a day pass to a local gym, which is a helpful alternative, but I prefer the convenience of on-site options. The other issue was with the robe I requested — it had visible stains that should have been caught before being delivered. It was a small detail but noticeable enough to mention. Overall, The Bluff is a nice hotel in a great spot with good value. Despite a few misses, we enjoyed our stay and would consider returning for an overnight visit.
Family and I stayed here for a couple nights and were very pleased. The hotel was clean, very quiet and the beds and bedding were comfortable. Only thing I’d add is if you’re sharing your bed you’re going to feel every tiny movement as the mattresses are very bouncy so you might be woken up from any movement. We didn’t dine in due to our schedule but the breakfast smelled amazing! We walked to the Foxtail around the corner and Crave is also within walking distance for lunch or dinner. The staff were super nice and helpful. They also have designated pick-ups/drop-offs to and from the river if you don’t want to drive over. I’d stay here again and do recommend. We wanted to be closer to the river but had to stick with a set of hotel options due to the event we were attending but it worked out for us as we liked the calmer pace at The Bluff as well as the quietness.
The hotel was very nice. The location was wonderful for going to experience the Riverfront. The hotel provided a trolley to take us to a few locations, which was nice. Being a Hilton's Honors member for some years, I have become accustomed to complimentary breakfast. This was NOT an option at this hotel, even though it was mentioned at check-in. We were told, on Saturday morning when we went down to breakfast, that there was no buffet therefore we would have to pay for breakfast. And then, the food was cold.
Stay was good. Beds were extremely uncomfortable, my back was in a lot of pain and I kept waking up in the middle of the night due to how thin the walls were. You can hear everything outside. Otherwise staff was friendly and shuttle was good. They charge $25 a night for parking.
Nice little hotel with spacious and comfortable rooms that felt luxurious. The breakfast was not included but it wasn’t too expensive. Gracia the lady that made breakfast was super nice and made delicious omelettes, and we also loved the attentiveness of the gentleman that served the food.
