Four Sails Resort

Came to this location for an oceanfront getaway. It was reasonably priced and we would go there again for another short trip. Having a balcony off both the living room and bedroom was excellent. Not the best place to stay on the Virginia Beach boardwalk but if an ocean view is all you need you have it here for sure. Many pods of dolphins were active in front of the hotel throughout our trip.

We’ve been coming out to the Va. Beach area for over ten years now and have stayed at the Four Sails for ten years. The units are very comfortable and clean. The location is perfect for us with plenty of stores nearby. The boardwalk and beach are the best.

Booked a King oceanfront and got a Queen instead. My wife wears a cpap and we need the extra room. Very uncomfortable 3 night stay! The bedroom faced the street, not the ocean as promised. So much for watching the sunrise in bed as this was the reason we booked this room. We booked this months in advance. We were told at the front desk multiple times that someone would contact us regarding the problem. We were never contacted. The place is dirty and in need of repair. Cigarette burns on the tub, contantly running water in the tub, dishwasher door slams open with a broken spring, floors are tarnished and worn. Posters in the hallway with Virginia mis-spelling...

I would have given this place far more than one star if our visit wasn’t followed by frequent timeshare calls. I have asked over and over and over again to be taken off of the list and they do not respect that. Furthermore they keep mentioning some sort of presentation which we never attended and we have never agreed in any way shape or form to be contacted by these people. They will not leave us alone and I have been very nice and I’m sick and tired of this. I was going to book this place again for next year because the location was nice and it was nice to have a little kitchen to cook in but I will be staying elsewhere if I go back to Virginia Beach and will never even consider staying here even if other places are more expensive.

Great staff. Parking best for smaller cars. Spaces are tight for minivan and larger. Beautiful view of beach from full length balcony.

It looks in the mirror, sees a worn old hotel, and still loves itself. It's not "nice" but it's clean, honest, and functional. And yes, the jacuzzi fits two, three if you're svelte and kinky, and works. The furniture is from the 90's which means its sturdy. Old is the new new now that we're in the Temu era. You can plug HDMI's in the TV and turn boomervision off in the settings menu - worth an extra one million stars, but I deducted a million-and-one stars for daylight bulbs, bringing Rooms rating to four stars. If they replaced the daylight bulbs with ones that matched the 3000k overheads on the bar it would help a lot. Kinda liked this place a lot, it was quiet and no one was smoking weed. All the friendly staff seemed to like their jobs. Private beats private equity every time. American hotel chains are being eaten by predatory financiers and they should be thrown from the penthouse balcony. Til then, look for holdouts like Four Sails.
