I came to New Orleans for a wedding on December 12, 2025 and checked out December 14th, 2025. The hotel is beautiful, quaint, understated, just the perfect hotel a block or two from Bourbon Street. My check-in was easy, they held my bags so I could go for a walk to check out Envie (a fantastic little breakfast nook around the corner) and The French Market (a beautiful outdoor market two blocks down that had great souvenirs and authentic food)… both places were recommended by the receptionist and I loved them. At night I had the pleasure of meeting Rebecca at the front desk (I needed a few waters and a blanket). She was so sweet and helpful on the phone, we had a nice talk about where I’m from and she seemed engaged and genuinely interested. She brought my items up quickly and she made sure I was comfortable for the night. I could’ve talked to her all night with her kind smile and her beautiful southern accent, she reminded me of my mom. When we parted she said "I’m just right downstairs if you need anything else". The next night when I came in for the night, she was here to greet me again with that comforting smile and she helped me to secure late check-out for the next day. The hotel is old New Orleans on the outside and modern on the inside with many southern touches. I would love to come here again, especially at Mardi Gras time. Thank you for making my stay so wonderful, especially I want to thank Rebecca for making me feel at home. Tanya Rauls
It is a beautiful hotel and has a wonderful location, especially if you are not there to party. It is in a quieter part of the French quarter. It is an older hotel and could use some upgrades, like the elevator was creaky. Coffee is offered in the morning but it is only regular coffee, no decaf, and there is creamer but no half and half. There was never anybody in the bar, we went several times for a drink but there was no bartender. The beds were not very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and check in and check out was very easy. They use digital keys for the doors which sometimes did not work very well, but it was nice not having to keep up with the key.
We were in one of the suites and the living area was very spacious and great to have. The rate and location were great, and staff were all friendly and helpful, particularly storing our luggage for a half day after check-out and helping arrange the best ride option to the airport. Some reviews mentioned noise from inside the hotel being an issue, but we didn't experience that at all. The mini-fridge was very useful as we often had leftovers from large meals.
We were looking for a hotel close to the flea market, Cafe duMonde, Decatur street shopping, the river and also close to Frenchmen Street. This was it. It was clean with a very comfortable bed and nice shower. Staff was friendly and helpful. With their digital keyless entry, it was nice not keeping up with a key or card. If you prefer a key they will give you one. The paid parking lot was a plus too. $45 seemed a little high since we were paying nicely for the hotel stay. I will say they do not have any vending machines. There is a mini mart that serves delicious food about a block or two away. Overall, I would go again.
I got my own room here while traveling with some friends. The room was spacious and comfortable to be in. I do recommend the online check-in process as I was able to get a fob for my door instead of a phone key for whatever that's worth. The cleaning staff were very friendly and respectful of my belongings when doing housekeeping. Additionally, the front desk staff were fantastic when I came up (frequently) asking for water. Speaking of, the free bottles of water were super convenient, especially after a late night out. There's a bar area onsite but they're waiting to get their liquor license as of 10/27/25. That said, the hotel is super close to plenty of food/drink options and was a great location to be close to the Halloween parade. The pool area was nice to hang around and the elephant chairs were my favorite hang out spot waiting for my friends. Special shout-out to Rebecca at the front desk (apologies if I misspelled). She was incredibly attentive, kind and offered great suggestions in the area. Easy 5 stars from me!
Loved our stay at Le Richelieu. Booked a 2 bedroom suite which was spacious and included a little nook with seating, table and coffee machine. The room was clean, beds comfortable, shower great. Secure parking at the back which you pay extra for, but totally worth it as parking on streets is hard. Walking distance to Bourbon Street, Cafe du Monte, the French Markets and Streetcar. Staff are friendly and very accommodating. Highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed.
It isn't luxurious but it's very comfortable and the location is great. An easy walk to the cathedral, the riverfront, Bourbon Street, and Frenchmen Street, with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The staff really makes this hotel amazing. So welcoming and ready with great recommendations from bars to dining to a hole-in-the-wall convenience store that has fantastic food! Looking forward to coming back!!
