Cinemark Lincoln Square Cinemas and IMAX

Who goes to see Mission: Impossible at 9AM on a Sunday? Apparently... we do. My early-bird husband requested it, so off we went. The theater's website said it was IMAX, so I was all excited — but nope, not IMAX. The seats weren’t all that comfy either, which was a bit of a letdown. BUT — we had the entire place to ourselves. Just us and Tom Cruise saving the world. Private screening? I’ll take it!

Horrible theater policy. Theater is located in a mall that is filled with restaurants but you’re not allowed to bring leftovers in with you - even sealed. If you came via public transit, your options are to trash your food or waste a ticket. Such a corporate shill policy for a theater clearly not doing well by the looks of how empty it is on a Saturday night. + NO coke freestyle machines.

The movie experience was generally good, especially the seating and show timings, but there is room for improvement with late-night food and beverage availability. For shows that run past midnight (for example, until 1 am), it would be helpful if basic items like drinking water and beverages were available for purchase so guests can comfortably enjoy the entire movie. Additionally, some of the staff at the food counter appeared irritated when asked simple questions about whether the counter was still open or if drinking water was available, which made the experience less pleasant. It would be great if the theatre could review or update its policy on late-night food and water availability and ensure staff remain courteous when responding to customer questions, even during the last shows of the day, perhaps consider having vending machines if easier!

Wife and I went to see a movie on the IMAX screen (Mission Impossible) and there was a sign stating right at the entrance to the movie room that they were experiencing issues with their AC. This happened on a hot sunny day. So, sitting in the theater, it took me some time to get used to the 'dead' air in the theater. That did take away from the movie experience a bit. Eventually I got used to it but still, not the greatest feeling to be watching a movie in a 'stuffy' movie theater. Other than that, it was an 'ok' theater. Not having AC really colored the way I view the theater. Would I go again? Yes. But if I saw that sign again, there's a good chance I'd stop, turn around and ask for a refund. I wouldn't want to go through that again. Also, if I remember correctly, the sound was a bit too loud. I don't remember anything memorable about the visuals, so that was good. Also, liked how they had the closed captioning system, but the customer service at the entrance seemed slightly confused or unsure about it. So please make sure they are all charged and working. BTW, it did work.

I took my little girl to the cinema for the first time, it was wonderful, a wonderful experience, if we choose to go to the movies again, we will definitely choose to come here

It was a typical movie theatre. The seats do not recline and less space between chairs. Thankfully the movie we watched was not too crowded and could stretch out but would not want to come on a packed movie day. They have drinks, candy, and food in the lobby. There is also a small game area. I would love for them to upgrade to recline chairs in at least one theatre but will use them again. They are located next to many restaurants and recommend grabbing a bite elsewhere before going to the movie.
