I had the deviled eggs, omg so good. John made me the best espresso martini with mezcal since I don’t care for rum and it was delicious and surprisingly paired nicely with the eggs! John and the other barback were very welcoming and pleasant to chat with. Will definitely be back.

Great place for a fun vibe with cool cocktails. The crowd really varies (from college kids to older adults) depending on the night and if there's a DJ or what kind of music they're playing but it's still always fun! It can get busy on the weekends.

10/10 experience! My lady's words were "I want to go somewhere with great steak or ribs". Annexe had BOTH, paired with the availability of crafted cocktails for prices so reasonable you have to have a couple! Service was welcoming and accommodating of my desire to take in the venue's feng shui, snap a couple pictures, and curiosity of the bars history. Located in a cozy basement on a corner that hosts a few establishments under the same corporate umbrella, this spot is a must not skip! We had the Steak Frites dinner and the Short Rib dinner. Both were cooked to perfection, with taste lacking in nothing. We came for the food and drinks, but were informed that the place turns into a little party vibe at 10pm. We will return. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

Had so much fun on Saturday night at the Annexe!! Started out at their amazing bar upstairs. I literally want this bar in my house! There were bottles upon bottles upon bottles at the bar--it literally kept going! Any bottle you want they have! The bartenders were super helpful and kind and I went with an old fashioned. It was a little on the sweeter side than I was expecting, but it was still super smooth and easy to drink. For food I was just going to get some fries, but the bartender convinced me to get the butternut squash and bacon risotto. Omg! Sooo good! Nice hint of sweetness and so much flavor! It was literally a party in my mouth! I would recommend sharing this dish as it is a very generous portion. Once I finished eating I headed downstairs to hear DJ Travis spin. Wow! The music was epic and the dance floor was packed the entire night! It was a great mix of 1980s, 90s, and today! There was a mixed and fun crowd, which was so great to see and everyone was having fun! Only draw back was it was very warm and there was not a lot of circulation. So glad that they kept the water cold and next to the bar, so you could grab as much as you needed. And you definitely needed it! I recommend Annexe for anyone looking for a good drink, dancing, and fun!

Okay...the food is AMAZING!!! I had the Salmon with mashed potatoes & roasted Brussel sprouts...it was beyond delicious. A side note, IF YOU WANT FOOD GO TO THE BAR. They don't tell you that if you sit at a cocktail booth around the perimeter you can't order in that area. You have to be at the bar. Other than that...I had no issues! Will I go back?! Yes!!!! I took away a star only because I have to be at the bar to get food.

We found this upscale tiki bar sort of by accident but really loved it. I have been very underwhelmed recently from bar experiences where the prices are high and the drinks are average. However, the bartenders make really great cocktails and the prices are on point. The music is at the right volume for conversation and the bar has an excellent vibe. Highly recommend it!

We've been here twice so far since moving to NC 7 months ago from NYC. While searching for good vibes, this place reminded us of places in NYC and we decided to try it out. The place is unique, and the music was decent. Their cocktail drink menu is extensive, which I think has its downside, if everyone ordered a specialty drink, the service will tend to be slower. Our first time we came a few months ago, the place was pretty busy, which was good. There were available seats at the bar too. Our first round of drinks was quick, but the second one took longer than expected. It was so long we ended up leaving after the second drink. We recently visited again and wanted to give it another shot. It's been a few months, and maybe it'll be different. This time, it was pretty quiet (still early in the night). Once again, first round of drinks came relatively fast. However, the second and we stayed for a third took too long. There was one point, I made eye contact a few times, tried to smile to get their attention, and nothing. It probably took a good 15-20 minutes (it felt like 30) to get another round, and it wasn't busy. The drinks are decent there and again, like the vibes, the service may need some improvement. Perhaps I'm just used to NYC pace. We tried to give it another chance, I'm sure we'll be back, it may be a while before we come back.
