My husband and I had a quick stay at Olivier. It was the coolest, and most unique hotel I've ever been to. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating. As Canadians we felt very welcomed throughout, and wouldn't hesitate to return. The kitties are all friendly, and added to the cozy vibe for sure. Common areas are gorgeous, and the use of the space is just awesome. If you're a vintage lover, and want to experience southern hospitality at it's finest, book a room! Much love y'all ❤️
We had a fantastic stay here with my girlfriend and our 8-year-old. The location is perfect—easy walking distance to Bourbon Street and the action, but the hotel itself was quiet and peaceful. The rooms were spotless, and the pool was very clean (which we really appreciated). The staff went above and beyond to be helpful and nice throughout our stay. Also, a huge plus for New Orleans: they made the parking situation incredibly simple for us. Highly recommend this place for families or couples looking for a great spot in the French Quarter!
If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind hotel with a Disney-like Pirates of the Caribbean meets Haunted Mansion atmosphere, this is the place. Each room is uniquely designed, and the entire hotel exudes rich 1800s New Orleans charm. Family-owned and exceptionally well managed, the property is spotless, the staff is wonderful, and the overall vibe is truly unforgettable. Valet parking is mandatory, but it’s absolutely worth it—efficient, seamless, and reassuringly secure for your vehicle. You may even be greeted by three friendly resident cats lounging in the lobby and hallways—something my daughter absolutely loved. Although it’s just one block from Bourbon Street, I honestly preferred spending time exploring the hotel and its unique rooms rather than walking the strip. It still feels safe, quiet, and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again. Five stars.
Amazing place!! The cleanliness is top notch and the entire hotel has such a beautiful and unique charm. Everything was of great quality and the service was excellent. My father and I were just passing through on a roadtrip and only intended on staying just a day or two but we loved the hotel so much we extended! We loved hearing about the rich history about this place during our stay and would absolutely recommend for any history lovers. All the rooms are so unique and beautiful and you can really tell this place is a labor of love. If you enjoyed the pirates of the Caribbean vibe at disney land then you're totally going to love this place!
The cat receptionists checked us in smoothly, our room was quiet despite being near a lot of craziness, and our beds were comfy. A/C and ceiling fan worked like a charm which I'm picky about as a hot sleeper. Centrally located to anything you'd want to walk to from the trolleys on canal St, to frenchmen street, with bourbon street right there a hundred feet away. We also utilized the valet for a rental car and had no issues. Excellent value hotel with a ton of history to the building.
Where to start I love a rustic boutique experience with vintage decor. This is not that. The rooms are in shambles w knobs and etc. We actually left and didnt even ask.for a refund it was just that gross. The bedding is vintage as in worn and holes and ewww. The heat never worked. This place structurally has charm but is in disrepair which is not charming. Oh I liked the cats. We ended moving to the ritz. If you are a family looking for charm but 3 stat pricing this still is not it.
I absolutely loved my stay at this historic New Orleans hotel! From the moment we stepped inside, I felt like we’d been transported into another era. The building is beautifully old in all the best ways — full of character, charm, and stories. Every hallway, staircase, and architectural detail felt like a genuine piece of New Orleans history. The staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely eager to make the stay memorable for us. ESPECIALLY John!! He truly was southern hospitality personified. Our room was comfortable and had that perfect blend of vintage style with modern touches you’re accustomed to in hotel rooms. I especially loved how quiet and peaceful it was, despite being steps away from all the music, food, and energy of the city. Sipping the complimentary cup of coffee on the balcony overlooking one of the courtyards every morning was my favorite way to start the day. If you’re visiting New Orleans and want something with true soul — not just another generic hotel — this is the place to stay! I can’t imagine booking any other hotel for my return visits.
