Renaissance New Orleans Pere Marquette French Quarter Area Hotel

Great location and clean rooms! I loved that they offered Aveda shampoo and conditioner. The valet staff was excellent — very friendly and helpful. However, the hotel staff overall felt lackluster. During our four-night stay, I was only greeted once and that was on the last night. This was our second visit to NOLA, and our first hotel really set the bar high. The doormen always opened the door, and the staff greeted us warmly each time. Unfortunately, the Renaissance didn’t live up to that same level of hospitality. Also, my husband is a rewards member, yet our TV kept displaying random names welcoming other guests instead of us — a bit strange!

Great stay at the Renaissance Hotel! The rooms were excellent—clean, comfortable, and well-designed. During Thanksgiving and the day after, the hotel even hosted a complimentary cocktail hour from 5–6 PM, which was a really nice touch. For anyone driving, I recommend parking at the Clarke Garage (930 Gravier St, Garage G-114). If you book through the SpotHero app, parking comes to about $25 per day with unlimited in-and-out privileges. It’s only a 3-minute walk from the hotel and there were plenty of available spots.

*Comments made in here is that of my own true experience*|. |-> Great location. A mere less than 5 mins walk from the French Quarter so very quiet if you want peace and quiet, yet close enough to find the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter |-> It would be unfair to name every staff because collectively, they did their own part really well, from Reception to the Housemaid, they were all just amazing. Nothing is too much for them and love the way they interact with the guests when talked to and would stop what they are doing to entertain you, not just all about work and doing their thing. |-> Restaurant – serves good breakfast, lunch and dinner, although only went there for breakfast, I wanted to try the local cuisine at other times. |-> the room size is large, I actually think the double room I got is for 4 people, but that’s U.S. room size for you. The bed is for at least 4 people, but then I am a very slim person, so maybe only 3 medium size person. |-> Only comment I can give about the room is that the shower is not strong enough, so taking a bit longer to have a shower, but other than, all good. |-> Other comment I found in other reviews says the hotel appears old and outdated, but that did not worry me, as long as the bed is comfortable and all facilities working, more than good enough |-> no shortage of transport if you want to go and check the places outside the French Quarter. used the 'trolley' (we call them trams in the UK), so cheap at $3.00 and will take me from one end of the town to the other. the stops are again less than 5misn walk from the hotel. Really you do not need a car unless you want to venture our further afield as far as 2 hour drive. Well, I am on holiday, I don’t drive when I am on holidays. |-> Would I recommend this hotel – yes, 100% no doubt. Had planned to go back in Feb 2026 for the Madri Graz and stay at this very hotel, but I am already booked to go somewhere else so maybe go back in Oct 2026 instead so until then. |-> Thank you Renaissance New Orleans Pere Marquette French Quarter Area Hotel, it was great and lovely stay.

This is a beautiful hotel, the lobby area is first rate, modern, and up-to-date. The rooms are spacious, but not quite as luxurious as I thought they would’ve been. The service was good, but very mechanical. I didn’t feel a lot of sincerity from the young lady at check-in, it was as if she was reading a script. Parking as with everywhere in New Orleans was very tight. All in all I will definitely come back here again.

Alexis is amazing! She's everywhere and right where she needs to be when something was needed. She works in HR but we think of her as the 'unofficial Ambassador' of this hotel! 5 stars for Alexis!|This is a good location, walkable to much of the NOLA sites and far enough away that the noise level is much more agreeable for us anyway.|The room was a nice size and very clean. |It's the French Quarter so IF you were thinking about a nice quiet area and venue, well---that's not happening in the Quarter. |The only thing that was a little off, paying for Internet?? We're even Bon Voy Marriott members and didn't seem to matter. $10.95 a day. On top of the $50 Valet parking, it all adds up. |Staff is very helpful and courteous.

The hotel is close to everything, and the room and the bathroom were spacious and nice. It was very quiet and had a large-screen, up-to-date TV. I was told it was an upgraded room on the highest floor, and I truly appreciated the courtesy and the recognition for my membership status. The staff was professional and very helpful as well. There was a little pantry with water, sodas, coffee and light snacks for Elites, which was a bonus. There are lots of places to eat nearby. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to everyone.

It was clean and rooms were a nice size. Staff was friendly and I loved the grab and go for the water and snack at no additional charge. Very close to everything. I would stay again.
