Shades Beach Park

Shades Beach is an excellent place to view a stunning lake Erie sunrise or sunset. I am able to kayak right from. The boat launch. There is plenty of parking available. Picnic pavilions and playgrounds are available.

Shades Beach has come a long way. I remember as a kid the shoreline was covered with tons of dead fish and litter and the boat launch was nearly non existent. Poorly maintained and now it's all cleaned up. It has a much better boat launch area with nice synthetic decking for boat tie downs along with a couple nice wake break walls surrounding it. Much nicer and well taken care of now. Keep up the good work.

Nice beach for rock and driftwood fans. It was ludicrously windy the day we visited so the water was like chocolate milk with large waves. Super easy access to the beach. We didn't take advantage of the park area but it looked well maintained and lovely!

This beach is perfect, with great sand, and a sand bar only five feet from shore.. Plenty of room to find a spot.. Highly Recommended..

We LOVE this stunning beach with the playground on a nice grassy flat patch of ground with plenty of picnic areas and a pavilion and restrooms open during the summer. Warning for the beach area, it is a rockier beach! Fun to explore and take pictures but we prefer the softer cleaner sand on Presque Isle for the days we want to get in the water.

I recently moved to Harborcreek and discovered this park. So far, I've only had time to drive in, park, and experience the sights and sounds of Lake Erie and sunsets. That alone makes this a great place to visit. It's a gorgeous location! Next summer, I hope to take advantage of the picnic tables, pavilion, and hiking trails. There is good parking and restrooms.

Shades beach has always been a favorite. have been to many pinic/party’s and the grounds are always clean, very easy folks to deal with when renting a pavilion, if your looking to have a party of any type make sure you check this place out wish I would of got more pictures of the picnic area but today was just a drive thru checking out the lake
